Great invention for underpowered cars as eg a beer can holder.

As for finding an engine there's a lot of potential low cost donors for that type of engine if you're willing to do a little work adapting things as the 2.2 K-car engine is very common.
Yeah, you gotta watch the years and models, though. They could all be swapped for the most part, but later T1's had weaker rods than the 87 T2's or the 84 T1 rods which were only second to the strongest T2's. Lots of little things like that. You can swap everything in and out yourself, or grab a factory fresh T2 for a few grand.
The 84 turbo can't be easily swapped to later year engines because it's a pull-through, not blow-through intake. You either have to change the housing or do a little cutting, if I remember right. If I scavenge the engine I'll probably just buy a "new" turbo II.
Got my car fixed and it only cost me $80.
Literally made of junk and performed not bad at all
So it looks like the water pump was barfing coolant from the weep hole.
In order to remove the water pump I have to first remove all three timing belt covers which means I have to remove the drive pulley. If I'm going to do that I might as well do the 120k mile timing belt service, which I was nearing but wanted to hold out until the new year to do it.
Not sure if I should drop the additional $150 for a new, thicker radiator to go with the new piping as well.
Multiple night sessions finally have the crankshaft pulley and the defective water pump off. Markings on the pump read "NPW", always go OEM. Next up is removal of the cam gears and prep.
So do you have a spare car to drive while your main ride is down?
He has Vegio to chauffeur him.

Yes, I got a great deal on a rental through my insurance. Here's the motor of that one.
Get a free badge of the name of your "Toyota".
I am officially back in black. The dirt, grease, and oil embedded under my fingernails and the groves of my fingernails is the testament of the bond between man and machine. The blood, sweat, and tears I have shed for the love of my Z.
I have a 99 Jetta, and it's broken right now.
Twinturbo tigers :)
Driving along there was a large McD's cup in the middle of the street. I thought I could drive over it, it got caught and started scrapping. Didn't think I was that low. Now I know how stancefags feel driving over dried leaves.
Be happy you don't live in the netherlands. Speed bumps so high your car wouldn't be able to go over them.
Even my mom's Opel / Vauxhall scrapes the street if you go across one of those with 10km/u +
