If I make a big score one of these days, I would love to take one out of the boneyard, and completely refurbish it.
It would be the ideal private transport since it could out fly most civil aircraft & a few modern ones.

Is that possible though? I don't hear about millionaires flying old fighter planes to go to their business meetings.

Why not?
Wel there are such craft in private hands & there are some "individuals" who keep them not at dust collectors - but to actually log air time on.
You can either have a crew fly your ass some where or you can fly yourself.
If you love to do the flying yourself - you pick your best bird.
Meh - I would rather fly myself.

Just toss your things into a cargo pod, & junp into the drivers seat & blast off!
Of course it would be on a smaller civil airstrip than on a commercial one (less traffic or no traffic).
Its a lot less hassle than having to go through security at a metropolitain airport.

when did this become the gaming thread?
Let's review. Denis started the thread. It's about not only actual aircraft, but interest in them. His first post showed a flight simulator. And it was from the same series.
