Tokyo gets its first Foreign Comic Festival!

  1. Tokyo is about to get its very first Foreign Comics Festival at the Tokyo Big Sight this November.

I'm talking about comics from outside Japan--the U.S., the E.U., China, South Korea, etc.

The story on is from Asahi Japan Watch:

  6. well given the state of the comic industry in the u.s. i don't see how it'll be that popular over there. I mean even our "comic book" conventions are maybe 10% comics these days. the only reason comics are even as big as they are is because of all the super hero movies that have been coming out the past few years.

  7. That depends some Japanese are into Furries considering they have Conventions like this one for example.

No surprise they are making a Foreign Comics Festival to see if someone has a interest in it.
