If you're going to buy a Persona game and want Japanese audio, don't wait for the US release.
I'm 100% sure that Atlus USA won't keep the JP voices intact. That's been their modus operandi since time immemorial. They've already established themselves as the company who hates fun, after all.
I'm thinking of getting the JP version, but with so many backlogged games on other systems I own, that can wait a bit.
I know for def. that the US release will have an English dub, and I played P3P in English which was actually quite good. Just weighing the pros and cons of English (not original dub, but better easier storyline) vs Japanese (original dub, tedious to read) vs Chinese (? dub, semi-tedious to read).

Having standards isn't a bad thing.
Passable will never be good enough for me. If it's not as intense as the original, I should at least have the option of switching audio.
I just realized I typed persona lolol. I can agree with you however. Some dubs I just want them to shut the fuck up. Like for Altier games. They however did have dual audio.
Exactly. With new media being how it is, any game can have dual audio with the right compression programming. Heck, some games underutilize the media capacity so the space would be more than enough.
If NISA can do it, why can't Atlus USA?
It's most likely because they make a career out of stalwartly defending their mediocre dubs, or they just don't give a shit despite the fan clamor.
That's why I opted out of depending on the LLC middleman and go straight to the source nowadays.

I couldn't stand Persona 3 and 4 English dubbed, it was complete garbage.
That's why I just torrented a patched version for both games, everything's in English but with Japanese voices intact. A perfect solution and a fuck you to Atlus USA.

You guys are truly a small few, people liked the dubs. Especially for 4. The only complaint I can really see is if the characters have somewhat of a different interpretation due to said voice acting which is fair and present in both games.

Hell no. That's just pissing money down the drain. I'd just wait to see if they ever come out with a 4G sim card for it. Even then it's unlikely I'd get that.
A bit late.. But it came to my attention that Trendy Entertainment decided to cancel the Dungeon Defenders port to Vita. I was really interested in playing this game for, what they said, cross platform play. My brother has an iPad so playing together would have been pretty much fun.
They just keep hammering the Vita into the ground.
Also I don't get why they released a 'trigger' accessory for the vita. I mean, the only fps is resistance, and unit13 close by.. But they haven't really been selling millions, and it's not like millions of people will have the need for those triggers.. Maybe at the end of the year, but seems a bit too soon now.

Dunno.
I don't think there is any. You buy it for one console and can play it on both. Vita or PS3 doesn't matter.
Don't you have to buy them on both?
Wasn't that for the WiiU?
I don't have a PS3 so I never bothered with the cross play function.

I kinda thinking about getting Persona 4 Golden. I can't seem to sell my Vita haha. I've had it up for sale for around 2-3 months already. I only get a ridiculous low bid every now and then. I still love the Vita for it's power, and Persona looks like a game worth spending hours and hours in. Anybody who tried it on the ps2, or already on the Vita? How is it?
Ohh wait fuck nevermind. Only the US release was this week. EU release is in feb 2013, fuck that.
I've never really heard of the term "cross-buy" but the PS1 games I bought via PSN on my PS3 are available on my Vita without any additional charge.

I have P4G and it's pretty fantastic. There are enough new features and characters that it might even be worth buying again if you only played the PS2 version. The characters and relationships of the game are the best part, and the combat isn't bad either regardless of what difficulty you play on. I'm a pretty big fan of the new girl, Marie, even though her poetry sucks. Still haven't finished the game because of Elminage and Dark Souls on PC though...
Playing on very easy has basically turned the game into a school/life/dating sim with some minor combat elements in it, a combination I surprisingly like.
