Personally, I've learnt not to react when I catch someone staring. I just avoid making eye contact, or simply closing my eyes (since I'm always with my earphones on or feeling sleepy, lol)
I don't really care about it now, it's full of creepy guys everywhere, meh~ but I do remember having an awful experience when I was a loli. I was with my aunt, going back home from the dentist's. She had bought me an ice cream, and I hadn't finished it by the time we had to get on the bus. I still remember that pig's horrible face as he watched me eat the ice cream. I think I was about 9... The thing is, at first he just stared, but then he started taking his tongue out and making really disgusting faces D:

And to think my traumatic childhood memory is having been at a dress shop with my mother when a couple of old ladies we didn't know started fussing about my hair and how much they wanted it. I thought I was going to be eaten by witches.

This is a perfect example of really scary shit you experience as a child that turns out to be really funny when you look back on it as an adult.

There is one exception to this, if you've been raped or molested when you were a child, against your will....
It wouldn't be very funny.
However if you were molested, raped, then killed and your body hidden in a shallow grave. It wouldn't be either funny or not. Because nobody knows where you were buried. Until your remains turned up.

People often stare at me! amazed by my ability to sleep in public transport, but I'm not asleep yet so I can hear them talking about.. now that's uncomfortable!
If you're staring all the time it is pretty creepy no matter the gender, sometimes it can't be helped, it's human nature.

I stare at people when I'm thinking deeply about what kind of life they might lead. It think it's easier and much more comfortable for us both if I only did that and not ask stuff like-
"I've notice that your sad, but stern look as we crossed eyes moments ago, you seem awfully aware of yourself- what is troubling you?"

The only people who stare at me are cops, homeless people, drug dealers, prostitutes, & females who think I'm thinking about assaulting them.
