Yay, Warechu's gonna show!Too bad NISA will likely call him Pirachu again.
Why is that so bad? I take it you didn't care for Arfoire's and Nisa's name changes, either?

They changed quite a few names for the localization they admit. I've only played the dub, so can anyone tell me if the original names are still intact in the Japanese dub?
Also, it's been confirmed it is indeed time travel, not dimensional warp. Meaning, we are looking at Gameindustri's past.
I just remember there is some free HDN MK2 DLC that is being released today as well a new PS3 theme.

I have no respect for a localization outfit who treats their fanbase like moronic sheep. I usually reserve that degree of contempt for Atlus USA, but NISA kinda ruined it for me back in Mk2.
Arfoire I understand, not many Westerners know the term "Magicom" anyway (though in the first Neptune artbook, the name change affected one of the 4-panel gags, and a handful of people might've been left wondering what "Magiquone" was). Ditto with NISA, it's a company avatar.
But PIRACHU? They might as well have named him "Electric Mouse" or "Dirty Rat".
I play both sides of the fence, so I'm critical about these kinds of changes. I appreciate the option of dual language audio (something Atlus USA has never done even in the era of BD), but this practice irks me.
Keeping Warechu intact would've still made sense since it can be read like "Warez" which is also loosely used in the software piracy world.
Instead, they took the 'tard route and pirated a Pokeymon name.
Pikachu + Pirate = Pirachu.
Gag.
Assuming they haven't ditched her from the beta, I think this screenshot confirms Nepgear's presence in the game. I have no idea whether she'll be the same character from Mk2 or not, but it looks like she might be wearing a different outfit from the collar; something similar to Neptune's new clothes.

I don't think it's that stupid... 'Pirachu' sounds better to my barbarian ear than 'Warechu', anyway. I guess you hate the fact that Vert's name is pronounced without a silent 't' in the English version. It doesn't really matter to me, since it recalls the word 'virtual', and the other CPUs don't all hold fast to names based on colors.
PS, Vert's English voice has made me an instant fan of Tara Platt. Any predictions over who might voice Pururut/Iris Heart in the English-language version?
New screenshots! I'm liking the zoomed-in view on the heroines for battle scenes.

Liking it as well. It lets you really appreciate the upgraded models. I personally am really liking Noire's HDD form a lot. :3

Indeed, though I prefer her new human-form outfit in this game. It gives more of an adventuress vibe. Actually, it looks a little bit like Uni's 'gunner' cosplay from the previous game.
I recall that the Tunnel Armor's in-game description said that Noire had made it for her sister herself (and didn't appear fazed when Blanc remarked that Uni looked the sluttiest of the cosplaying CPU Candidates).

It reminds me of Kooh from pangya.
Uni's hat and weaponry made me think of Mami from Madoka Magica, instead.
BTW, Noire probably keeps using one-handed swords in Neptunia V, right?
Anyone else think that Iris Heart looks a bit like a dominatrix? That's what that cranky old moephobic writer at ANN thought.
"Yellow Heart"? Where'd she come from? My guess is that there's a fifth country being introduced in the new game, based on another big video game company; one that possibly doesn't exist anymore.
I'm really surprised by this- I didn't see this coming. I hope someone knows since I got nothing...
On another note, I saw they had they even more expensive edition other than the Limited edition coming out. They must be very confident this will sell really well.

There are no pictures of the extra swag. A Noire figure would be nice, or one of Iris Heart.
Yellow Heart will probably represent either NEC's PC Engine or Panasonic's 3DO. Both are big-ass machines who were ahead of their time, but ridiculously expensive compared to the low-powered but well-established consoles.
Ugh, the release date got moved from July to August. Then the DX Pack will come on September.
It's common knowledge though that both versions will come with the artbook.
Between enjoying the game immediately or waiting an extra month for a wallscroll and mini-posters that I probably won't even use, I'd go for the former.
I just hope the figures are the same size as the ones back in the Mk2 limited.
I may actually go for the limited edition this time or is it only available to the japanese version

have to disagree in that one. Rivera and Yggdra Union on PSP have dual language option.

You know she was reading those lines like that intentionally for the 'commercial', right? It's subtlety I'd expect from a good VA like Michelle Ruff.
