  1. Games are casuals now days. Back then when it was for kids they were fuck hard to complete. Mario for example. Now days, those gamers have obligations so they had to tone the difficulty down, then because of the good graphics non-gamers got on board and the difficulty had to be toned down again for them.

    I can understand wanting to skip to the story, much like sex scenes in Ever 17, Yume miru kusuri, or in a Key game, or mollusks in Type Moon but it lessens the feeling of achievement and the story when they skip the difficulties. In fact it becomes similar to rescuing princess peach in the very first castle. It doesn't have the same ring of victory as rescuing her in castle 99.

    One day people will be so lazy they'll have gourmet food pre-chewed for them.
