i don't agree with the no buying games portion of this. video game companies have been pretty good about protecting themselves against piracy, and there's a lot that actually oppose these bills just as much as everyone else. and i'm not saying this just because mass effect 3 comes out in march.

  8. Spend more on March, gotcha.

  9. Do I have to bring out the list of game companies BEHIND this bill ?
Its a month, to proof, you are opposed to this horrible idea, If we are divided we can never win, its not like you don't have stuff to finish (am sure, some of you have games and animes to watch, derp)

@Godman:- Wouldn't that mean you bought someone else game that THEY bought that in return STILL is buying, even tho the developer is not gaining any cash ?

A month of opposing can actually work, hell a day of sites blacking out helped a little.

  10. your boycott only aplies to purchases of new media.

meh, I've still got other games I'm occupied with. As for viewing media, I usually buy previously owned for hard copy discs. Most of the new music, doesn't suit me or my interests.

So I'm free to buy what is it I will for.

    Even the waifu agrees:

    See?

i know at one point Sony and Nintendo were in support but they've since dropped their support. I just don't agree with punishing companies that are already opposed to the bills. it shouldn't be just a one month thing. if you really want to make a difference, start by being a more conscious consumer and not buying products from companies that engage in practices you disagree with. And buy from the ones that you can actually gladly give your money to. that's why I don't by nike or anything owned by nike and why i don't shop at walmart.

  12. Yes but they shouldn't of Supported it IN THE FIRST PLACE, they only pulled their support AFTER people began riling up, I am not saying "hey, you see your favorite video games, NEVER BUY THEM AGAIN!! CAUSE ITS BAD MKAY~!", am just asking for a united stand against the industry, again we win together we lose divided, its not like NOT buying a video game will kill you after march, fuck man, its a simple protest, whats more I can't force anyone to not do it, its up to you if you want to continue letting the government kick your rights in the jaws, if you want to prove something you have to first do it by using action.

  13. Mass effect 3 comes out in march.

  16. Not this incredible stupid advice about black march. If that idiot who had this idea would think about one second, the world would be a better place. That is PRO-ACTA. If you don't buy, the corporation get 0$. Exactly what is posted. BUT, the question will be: why i got 0 income? Answer: piracy. Huge piracy. But wait, the post say: don't download anything. Now think a second: do you think someone will give a fuck that the game, book or wathever, was not downloaded? Well...NO. NO. NO. All the blame will go on pirates. Anyone remember Sopa? There were some companies that suported it. And many big ones that oposed ,and thanks to them (not the public voice) all went down. The black march will hit them. And many will think that a law that delete the pirates , was actualy good in Sopa form. Again, they don't care you have not downloaded, but they care about the $ loss. So don't buy a thing and give yor ACTA support

Like I was saying I have BEEN doing that. one month is nothing. I've COMPLETELY stopped buying games made by EA and companies owned by EA. Luckily, for now, Bioware is not one of those companies. And as far as buying CDs and Movies and stuff like that. I'm not going to just not buy any music. I'll still buy my punk rock cds because they are either self published so i'm directly supporting the bands. I will say that none of my money will be going to Disney or anything that falls under the MPAA or any of the major record labels.

Maybe, you're right, maybe it would seem like acta/sopa/pipa support, however DO YOU have any suggestions to fight, for everyone ? not just those in the USA, if you had a better solution or protest, then state it, atleast the person came up with something or is it the usual, sitdown and let it play out ? Maybe it won't work or make things worse however its better to try and fail then fail to try.
