   Anyone else playing the co-op demo on X-box Live?

   It's gold-exclusive, apparently and takes up ~730mb.

   You can queue it up for your box here.

   The difficulty is aimed for 4-player co-op, but you CAN play it solo (it'll just be hell).

   First-impression-PROs:
   o) The over-all feel of the game reminds me a LOT of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, except it's far darker and has far more action.
   o) I'm really excited about all the upgrades and customization possibilities.
   o) graphics, duh.

   CON (singular):
   o) the demo is coop. I would have preferred the same mission with the option for toned down difficulty when playing alone. feels like the difficult part was to add the ability to be alone in the first place, adding a check that varies the difficulty depending on players shouldn't be tooo hard (it also already has difficulty-options, after all).

   BUT, that gripe is solely aimed at the DEMO, not the game itself (if I were a grumpy old man I could argue that it points to a lack of foresight on the part of the developers, but I aint a grumpy old man, so I wont.)

   I've only played the first game in the series a long time ago, but I always hated it since I didn't really understood any of it(I didn't know English at that time)...

   Meh, the areas are too narrow and not enough effective cover. It just seems to throw enimes and you just return fire. No flanking or tactics required.

   using the dart chip you can cause enemies to commit suicide and/or turn on their friends...

    So my last comment was a bit clueless... you mighteven say Ignorant.

    that said, in the first area there's a computer you can breach that raises barriers all over the place (cover there) and there's a path to the left that leads you around to the side of the APC with the turret (if you breach the turret it will work for you for a bit).

    in the next area there's an opening straight ahead that brings you around to the side. if two players stay near the gate and draw the enemy fire, then the two remaining players can run in there and flank to their hearts' content.

    I've played some fifteen or so rounds today and I have to say... once you actually get the hang of the breaching process and healing your squadmates it's *really* fun.
    of course, I did also run into three guys who had no idea how to breach, much less heal... so once one of the snipers got a lucky blow to my noggin, they were all standing there completely clueless. *sadface*

    looking forward to playing the real thing.

    I'm Eleriel on Live as well, in the european part of the game.

    Yeah, it seems throwing players straight into the fire without so much as a tutorial doesn't help. I'll try playing some more, maybe as a sniper this time.

    But I dislike the fact that there is no way to switch the crouch and melée buttons.
