Meth makes you think you are super human and it inhibits pain.
While it can make you think that you're able to do more than you really are, it does not inhibit pain. Also, he wears armor...
EDIT: You seem to be actually interested in science, so if you want I can write a pretty good post on the pharmacology of amphetamine/methamphetamine.
