   It's going to be a big year for Resident Evil, with one DS game and two PS3 games following. They all look really nice to me, even Operation Raccoon City, with which a sizable portion of the fanbase can't help but bitch about over the action and 3rd person shooter elements. It's sad to see fine-looking games like this get bashed because they're not "true to the spirit of the original". RE 5 was a great conclusion to the Wesker/Chris rivalry, but just because it wasn't what people were used to, its epicness was occluded for some. In any case, RE 6 holds tremendous promise already, judging from its trailer. The return of zombies is good, because they were due to come back as common enemies anyway, and handling them with the series' new controls will be fun. Having Chris and Leon in the same game was a good move, covering what seems to be a worldwide setting in America, China, and who-knows-where. Also, on a personal level, I'm psyched that a grown-up Sherry Birkin will appear in RE 6,

   and might even be playable. I loved her role in RE 2, and I'm sure a lot of fans were left hanging over Sherry's fate, especially after Darkside Chronicles revealed that Leon was pressured to work with the U.S. government in exchange for her safety. Maybe she still has Claire's jacket? Seeing Sherry wear it in battle would be awesome.
