However, I was writing an intentionally sensationalistic piece and therefore used sensationalistic terminology; it is common practice in sensationalistic writing to use a broader definition of the word paedophile. It has more emotional impact than ephebophile and no-one other than sexologists, psychologists and paedophiles (sorry, ephebophiles) uses the latter word.
