Currently there is a trend in Japan that puffy bags under the eyes are considered cute/friendly on a girl. Seriously. This trend sure will also have a impact on cosplayers in future shootings.

If any girl/woman/cosplayer wants to achieve this look, all they have to do, is undergo - deprivation of sleep - for a few days, weeks, month, and should do it.

I don't find bags under the eyes to be particularly attractive, but I'm fairly certain that in Japan it is currently considered cute. Some people are born with their eyes slightly protruding, and in those cases I don't hold it against them. At its worst, it can look like they have bulging gold-fish eyes.

I hate this "trend".
It's unbelievably ridiculously popular among the Koreans. One of my half-siblings is a K-pop addict, so I know.Korean pop stars and models puff up their eye bags on purpose.
edit: This isn't something new. Maybe for Japan, yeah. But this trend's been going on for years.
