recently I watched taht episode of Sherlock with the ghost bride, and even tho it was the second ever ep of the series I've seen, I coldn't help but feel that I was familiar with the story
Ive never read any of the Sherlock stories, and other than the Robert Downey Jr movies, I might've caught an ep or movie or so growing up, or perhaps a parody here and tehre

If it's The Abominable Bride you saw, it's not based on a particular Holmes story. The title comes from a quote ("Ricoletti of the club foot and his abominable wife") by Holmes in "The Adventure of the Musgrave Ritual," referring to a past case.

I burned through season 4 of House of Cards in two days.
If only the show's writing wouldn't steal so much from history or continue to be shitty in foreign policy writing, I'd praise the writing as better than Spotlight.
