I loved Joey <3
but yeah, even friends after some seasons went really downhill, and then I stopped watching sitcoms altogether. New ones were just... dunno, pointless? I remember the good old days with the robinson, the prince of bel'air, and happy days... aah, how I miss those replicas in the early ninetiesalso, uhm. I was trying to read the comments, but... why all the hate? I mean, it's not like you're forced to watch it :\ I only spend one day per year watching it, since it's more than enough for a full season... dunno <_< I could understand this hate if we were talking about soccer matches, but this is just ridiculous :O this much effort to prove what, that "nintendo 64" isn't a joke? I still laughed, knowing the characters and the background, but meh. Whatever.

I used to watch Saved By The Bell and 90210 in my early teens.

I didn't watch things with people kissing, in my early teens. It was awkward.

This version is better. Obviously it's not as hilarious as the laugh tracks try to make you think it is, but I still laughed quite a bit.

As far as i'm concerned TBBT is one of the funniest and most intelligent shows ever created. I like HIMYM as well but it's not as funny.
I was never a fan of Friends myself, my favourite comedys of the 90's were Just Shoot Me and Frasier.

I tried watching TBBT with my dad once. It was so awful, I had to stop after about 5 minutes. There's no humour, unless you count being fake-geeky as the entire punchline.
Fraser was good maybe one out of ten episodes. Friends was mindless, but somewhat enjoyable, I guess.
Sitcoms have never been that great, but the older ones (like Friends) seem a lot better when you compare them to the shit that's on now. Ever since the writer's strike, it's like no one on TV even tries to write anymore.

I still think the more effort you put in it, the less worth is to pay attention

MPFC isn't really that special.
But it's the only British comedy most Americans have watched, so they think it's the best thing ever.
Now, back to the topic of geek-related comedy...
