Thought I had posted in this but I hadn't.
While these new episodes are beginning to grate due to the lack of new story content in each (it's getting there though), the opportunity to see Haruhi, Yuki and Mikuru in new and exciting swimsuits is worth it, I guess.
But then again there are only 14 new episodes and this is taking up a large chunk of them...missed opportunity.

Added a spoiler tag to the title, just to be on the safe side.
I was especially amused by the new animation style that was more evident this episode than in previous season 2 ones - Mikuru and Haruhi both looked like clones of Tsumugi and Mio (respectively) at certain frames.
2ch had the screencaps, but I believe it was Haruhi at the matsuri in her black yukata, and Mikuru crying to Kyon in the public plaza...

I thought I was the only one who noticed the small nuances that were prevalent within... glad I was wrong.
I also noticed the clothing with the simple yet, similar message clues that were shown throughout this Ep...especially the give away on "Mikuru's shirt" ...

Haruhi's bikini is different each episode. As is Nagato's alien mask. Last ep. Haruhi didn't have her yellow ribbons when she jumped in the pool but did in others...little things. I'm sick of this- end it already, this is stupid even for Kadakawa.

They are going to repeat the same episode through out the summer and break the loop if they get a 3rd season. Deep down you know this to be true.
OR
If you are lucky they will end the repetition after 8 episodes of Endless Eight.

It was a tad unsettling to have trouble recognizing a character...

I fastforwarded to see if there were any major changes, after 60 seconds I decided there are none..
Then threw it in my 'watched' folder.

I can only imagine what the production team is doing:
Script writers are cutting and pasting 90% of the episodes.
Seiyuu already have the lines burned into their brains.
In a sense, I bet they are experiencing some deja vu.
"Didn't I already make an episode just like this?"
EDIT// oh, forgot to mention they are being pretty lazy I bet
Nagato does mention that sometimes the festival is omitted and they work different variations of part time jobs; we never see that though, just the stupid frog costume job.

Ndeed, she does mention several variables, and I am also curious about that frog costume... hmm..
I *just* hope that the final reveal is not something... lame..

If they included the variables then it might confuse some into thinking that there is no time recursion. It would muddle the plot point they are trying to relay to the audience that time is looping. Repeating many of the major events the same way keeps things simple.
Maybe the frog has something to do with Keroro Gunso.
It is a little too late to wish rosebud wasn't something more significant than a sled.
