I wonder if any of these "apocalypse predicters" ever wrote down anything about an ancient race of dragons awakening and drowning the land in fire on 11/11/11...because that would be one hell of a coincidence.

Not quite EVERY year, i'd be awfully surprised if we got a 13/13/13. But you're right there's nothing special about this one, the one that most people focused on was the 06/06/06.
