The Sheriff, BP, Customs, ICE, work together here, so its a possibility that he (may) work at a checkpoint.

Since I live in a very remote area of the county (near the border) I get visits by the BP every 3 days or so... and they use my abode area as a reference point while on patrols.

Those I speak to on Skype (actually) have heard them arrive (or) heard Omaha in the background, so, I close off the conversation... so I can pay attention to the "visitors"

It would be wild (if) I get a visit, but very unlikely...

He has 20 years experience as a reserve deputy in Louisiana, he knows what it's like. It's bad enough in cities like El Paso where you have the BP patrolling embankments in the middle of the Rio Grande like sitting ducks, nevermind the rural parts of the border to the east and west. They wouldn't put him there if he had no clue what he was getting into.
