Dom or sub desires for partnership?

    Do most of the people here have the desire to dominate women? I'm not necessarily talking about BDSM or anything. I'm talking about the dynamic of your relationship in general. Do you desire to be the dominant partner who protects and cares for his woman and perhaps acts as a teacher in a way?

    I'm asking because the moe craze and the usual ideal anime girls tend to be clearly submissive in nature. I'm just curious if the main appeal is this submissive personality and why? If not, what do you think is the main draw of the personalities that are usually commonplace for these ideal anime girls?

    I wrote a long comment about which type I'd prefer and why submissive girls are so common place in moe anime. Then my phone battery died and erased everything I had wrote before I could post it. Now I don't feel like answering anymore.

    I actually prefer to take the lead, but I'm cool taking a more submisse role as well. But I don't really know, maybe I'm just like this 'cause our society DOES expect men to be the leading part.

    Well, ever since I was about five years old I figured I had to be responsible for everything (Unfortunately, since I'm physically inferior and a completely immature fuck-up, I never really get a chance to do anything productive with such impulses).

    With that kind of personality infrastructure in place, I would quite naturally find it utterly fantastic if a human female regarded me as a responsible, reliable and trustworthy enough partner to let herself behave in a "submissive" manner around me. It follows that I would find such character designs in the fiction I consume to be appealing.

    Well, maybe. But those submissive girls that always go with the flow and never question anything are pretty boring, IMO. It's nice reversing roles some times (I know that I would be pleased if the girl actually took care a more proactive attitude).
    Also, don't forget to take japanese culture's into account. For some creep people, not being submissive is as aggravating as not being a virgin.

    I like to take care of my woman sure, ya know be the strong man for her and such but submissive women are no fun. They're always apologizing and shit and telling you what they thing you want to hear so you can't get an honest answer out of them. very very irritating.
