Turns out I'm probably adding another cosplay for my convention in May. . Pretty late by my standards, but a lot of it will be regular clothing, though I will be attempting to make arm covers so that I don't have to paint my actual arms gray, gray make-up all over my face will be bad enough.
Oh the joys of cosplaying Homestuck.

body paint is nasty :l takes a load of time to do the whole face, and I guess you'll have to paint your neck too. Also, from close up there are cracks all over the place. That, or I've been left out of the new paint options from the last couple of years...
last time it took photoshop to make close ups nice D:

I'll be using stage make-up :] Not actual paint, so it should look pretty good, but yeah, I'm probably gonna have my roommates coat my face and neck, cuz you know, that's what con roommates are for.

and then there's hair trimming, too. Well, that probably doesn't apply to you though. What's nasty is that as soon as you have to stop moving any facial muscle, you get all the itchiness everywhere.

yo what is homestuck even about? a NEET? i tried to get through it several times but it annoys me for some reason and i just give up lol
also, i've finished maka boots but idk how to make the small holes on the straps....i used real leather and its SUPER thick....>.>
anyone have any suggestions?

Depending on funds (and shop access) it will either be Al from FMP (just need to fabricate the plastics), or Alucard from Hellsing. I may re-make my Ebisu Sensei cosplay since the last one done by my ex was poorly made (to be fair, she did the sewing for it in 30 minutes).
However - might be a year and change before I get to them since I'm doing my thesis project right now, and moving back to Japan next year. Once I get a chance to settle in w/ my old cosplay crowd there, I'll start makin' more =^_^=

^^this, nobody it going to notice that you shaved your legs after you're done with your cosplay. Guys nomally do not notice other guys legs, especislly since guys usually run around in panz.
But when cosplaying - unsightly manly leg hair under thigh highs is just plain gross.

Are those red scarves you see on uniforms just a regular bandana or is it more like an ascot? is there a proper way to tie that, or would you just use a little blue slip like this?
