Happiness is a very fuzzy concept and can mean many things to many people but I can't deny the Freedom and happiness are highly correlated.

And that's all you need to know. Freedom is also "fuzzy" but, just like happiness, it should be something that everyone strive for in their lives.
Seeing the Japanese seiyuu market is really scary, I don't understand how anyone would ever subject themselves to being in that position. The only people that I'd imagine choose the profession while knowing the consequences are neurotic women, like Aya Hirano. If you crave for attention, be it good or bad, nothing better than having a legion of fans and haters following your scent around.
Funny how in the end the "most free" seiyuu is her, she is using the audience/fanbase whereas the other VAs are just being herded by them. Well, it's like Britney Spears, she is so weird that I can't deny she is kind of special somewhat.
Anyways, if I was the creator of K-ON! I'd just make Azusa date as well, because she "feels alone in high-school", that'd crush the idiotic otaku and earn new found respect with a little less "retarded" audience". I'm pretty sure Ayana would like that. After all, she will only be allowed to be "un"-pure in real life when Azunyan "rots" as well.
Anyways, people are not free and they can only be free as long as they know that (weird, huh?). When you realize other people's actions influence yours and how that is not a bad thing, that's when you allow yourself to have fun, that's when you're not paranoid, that's when you stop thinking you're always losing. It really is a shame that in the end Ayana will have to publicly lie about her life in order to calm down a horde of idiots that will only partially believe her lie, but will still settle, for now...

First, I don't think Taketatsu has ever lied, nor will she do it. Most of the time, at least with Taketatsu that I know from public appearances, she never did lie. What she'd do is stay quiet if something is inconvenient.
As for the 'having fun' part, this is gonna be a bit long, and at least 60% of them would be pure speculation on my part but...
Since one of the things I do to waste time is watch shows with Japanese voice actresses on the Net, I get to see a lot of their real life antics(real or staged), so that means I get to see Taketatsu in a lot of shows.
What I noticed was something unnatural about the way she talks to interviewers and the audience. In the first K-ON concert, she might be one of the girls who cried hardest and got pats in the back by other women on stage, but during actual performances, it's like she was faking her cheerfulness. It's the same feeling you'd get if, say, Rei Ayanami tries to act like Misato, all cheerful and shit; you'll notice the awkwardness. Even during intro speeches and interval speeches, I noticed Toyosaki interacted so much with the rest of the cast but she seldom followed or responded to Taketatsu.
In interviews and radio shows, especially ones that last more than half an hour, I noticed the same kind of awkward cheerfulness. She's not very good at keeping a good flow of conversation. When she gets too comfortable(like in radio shows together with Kana Hanazawa, who was close to her for a while during OreImo), she'd laugh too much as if all the other time she's been unable to speak.
Honestly, I don't think Taketatsu's taking this well. She's been sorta chubby before and people have been calling her 'Debu-nyan' since K-ON big break. It stuck to her even until now when she's very much slim like everyone else. Remember the three-size fiasco? 2ch kooks was all like 'My little sister's waist can't be this small, lol'. This is making me think that Taketatsu as her real self is too aloof for showbusiness, because to me, she looks like a shy girl who tries too hard to be social. And all through this, she was not really having fun at all; it's work, and the contract demands her to eat shit if that's what her agency says.
In the end, I suspect that new age Japanese voice actors are being affected by the same shitty business practice of mainstream 'idols' like AKB48; they don't care what the girls' uniqueness and talents are, because what they'll do to the girls is groom them with a specific artificial characteristic that would attract suckers and merchandize them to all hell. The girls are suddenly full time actors who need to put up an angelic act to the public all the time and hide their true personality until they quit showbusiness. It's weird, because until K-ON, I never thought a 'seiyuu' should stay virgin for the rest of her career to escape retribution.
I'm going to buy $1000 wroth of K-On! merchandise and destroy it.

If you're going to spend 1000 bucks to buy something you'd only destroy, I rather suggest you use them to feed orphans, or hydroponically grow some plants.
Hell, give it to me and I can get to buy a rig optimized for i7 2600k without having to save my salary for 6 months more! lol
