Certainly interesting that they decided to pick this one up, and almost surprising that SCEA doesn't mind it.
Lots of people have probably played the RPGmaker version or at least tried it out, wonder if it will develop any kind of following/success.

What I like about this game is how helpless the characters can be. Even the 14-year-old Yuka isn't spared(crushed my heart when I found that I had to control her walking alone in that God forsaken school. Her convincing crying only makes me wanna cry too).

Awesome!!!!! I don't have to wait for the manga now to watch all their suffering!!!!!!!!!!! This totally makes up for all the blood I lost today being shot by homura from my bleeding intestines.

I finished it when the Japanese version came out on the PSP. I loved it! Now I can actually recommend it to people! Book of Shadows just came out too.

Well, there was a fan translation of the story, but it was only for chapter 1 of the story. This PSP game has all 5 chapters and 10 extra chapters. Also has upgrades with the music, the voice acting, and a bit more psp only stuff.
Although there's a LOT of praise for the Japanese seiyuu's with this one, seems inevitable we'll probably end up with english voices or none at all.

Where did you get the 'praises' bit?
I thought they were decent, but Seiko sounded like a perverted old man the moment the nightmare began. It adds to her personality, but I imagined a lot of people would complain.
Frankly though, I'd rather they get the voices in English. Already played the game in its Japanese entirety, and it'd be boring to hear the same voices for the next 7 hours...

God, say what you will about Xseed translating titles nobody else besides maybe Aksys would, they take their sweet ass time with EVERYTHING while giving tons and tons of interviews and excuses...
"Trails in the sky took so much effort for our small team and didn't sell well!!!" is their mantra for why everything is in constant delay..
For a game that isn't all that long and doesn't have all that much text...
Amazing game.
I plan on doing the Sachiko ritual with my friends on our final day of school. (If I die, delete my history and picture folder o__o)
Anyway, What do you think the chances are of Corpse Party: Book of Shadows and 2U being released here in NA?
