Okay, overall they were mediocre. The first video kept cutting away to useless stuff repeatedly along with the fact the guy walking in the beginning was obviously walking forward, stopped, went back, then proceeded to walk the same path again just to make it seem like that little stretch was longer than it really was. It also had terrible lighting which made half the screen too dark for every scene that had plot in it. At the end the camera shaking away to look at the shopping cart was poor.

The second video was played with poor acting. As much as acting involves the voice, the movements of the actors also need to be convincing. During a couple chase scenes it looked like they were having a late afternoon jog, which detracted from the atmosphere a thrilling chase scene is suppose to have. Again poor directing choices were made with use of the camera and editing, such as zooming in to the hole in the fence, not to mention showing the wallet in the beginning kills the twist at the end.

On the third video, it's again too dark at times along with a incredibly obvious jump cut at :47. Little is told about these characters (along with all the characters in these films) so we really don't care what happens to them. The slow motion was pointless along with the random dialogue at the end that is faded out while the audio is still going on. Again poor camera work makes it a headache to watch.

The first video isn't really a part of the true short film, but more like a preview of it,and yes the ending is very poor because we are to still filming as I speak(that's actually where we left off)Also the lighting was experimental to give it Blood in blood out look, which seems to have failed lol.

You have some very good points,We'll keep those in mind.

Yeah, that scene was made on the spot, and was very rushed. Thanks for your criticism.

This is is what I want to read.

  4. I suggest stop working on random pointless suspense scenes and work on creating a narrative and making sure you aren't using unnecessary camera work when it's not needed. Camera tricks are only good if they work with the scene and are done well.
