The Truth Is Out There

  1. Do you believe in aliens, time-travelers, espers, sliders, or anything supernatural, paranormal, or occult? Let's hear your beliefs and experiences.

To start you off, my first contact with the paranormal was in my early childhood, appropriately at night. I had awakened and saw a shadowy figure outside the window (or so I thought it was outside). But I was on the second floor and there was no balcony or fire escape for anyone to stand on! I hid under my blanket and that was the end of that. Looking back, I had always thought it was a ghost but now I think it may have been a shadow person inside my room.

And I will also leave you with this, the strongest piece of evidence that has survived 44 years of scrutiny, the Patterson-Gimlin film of Bigfoot.

  3. When I was wee young lad, upon looking at the stars one fateful night, I saw a really fast moving light. The light didn't blink like on aero planes. It just moved across the distant sky really fast. Also saw a scary cloud that looked like some devil creature that night.

A few years ago, walking home on my own. I saw a bright light hovering in the distance. It wasn't attached to any building, it wasn't moving. But it was clearly not a star. Just a very bright light in the sky. Just sitting there. Then it disappeared after a few minutes.

  5. OK, I like this kind'o shit.

As a kid once I got up to go pee, and in the hall (long hall with the bedrooms on each side, and the restroom at the end of the hall) I saw what looked like a woman picking up something. At least that's what it looked to me because it was a shadow, or the silhouette of a woman picking up something, and I remember I got close to her and asked her what was she doing. Then my dad came out of his room and asked me why was I standing in the hall, then I went to pee and went back to sleep, I was like 3 or 4.

The maybe at age 10, for some reason both my brothers were away, so I went to sleep in my older brother's room because he had a big bed and a TV, and while trying to sleep I hear a pair of deep breaths coming from behind me (I sleep on my side, and my back was facing the closet). At first I said "Shut up Luis" as I shared my room with my other brother and he had a tendency of never shutting the fuck up, snore and make noises. But then I remember OH SHIT! Im alone and in Emilio's room! so I got fucking scared, and in the most cartoonish way asked "Who's there?" voice cracking and everything. No answer haha, I dont know how I fuckign slept that night.

Other than that I haven't had any experiences that I would say are paranormal. Starting in junior high I became a big physics nerd, and loved to read science magazines so most noises and lights became explainable to me, or at least I became able to not freak the fuck out and think what could've been.

The most Alien like experience I've had was seeing a so called Green Fireball, which was fucking beautiful and impressive (and silent).

I think the Chupacabras needs a comeback

    The lyrics to that song:

    The X-Files is a show
    With music by Mark Snow

@Motakun and Pantsu seeing lights in the sky:
I've seen plenty of meteorites to know what is and isn't one. The green flames are, but once I saw the whole night sky light up like when lightning strikes but no thunder.

  7. I've had a lot of Hypnogogic, Hynopompic, and drug induced hallucinations.

As for the paranormal and aliems, I WANT TO BELIEVE. Because it's more fun that believing in God.

  8. I too think the green fireball was a meteorite of some sort, I just googled it when I got home the night I saw it and loled at all the sites "Oh its clearly an alien because they use such and such propulsion systems' and random shit like that.

I was in awe when I saw it because it was large and quite bright and unlike any other meteorite or shooting star I've seen before, and really it was damn bautiful

  9. Pacpon just wants to believe because she wants to have some hot gooey alien nookie and be the first one on her block to do so and have bragging rights

  10. Gods and aliens aren't exclusive, though, Pacpon. The "God that created the rules of the universe" can never be proved wrong or right.

    Unless you're a Scientologist.

  12. That still proves nothing, I understand the point you were trying to get at but your logic wasn't sound, even if it was a joke.

  13. I meant the "Gods and aliens aren't exclusive" part.

  14. I guess I always saw Gad and supernatural as different genres.

  15. If the supernatural is still ruled by the rules of the Universe then they would have been creations of God anyways. Unless the supernatural beings are beings like the Bible God, but that God is retarded and no one believes it to be true other than the dumb people.

  16. i remember once i was babysitting my little sister and was on my laptop in my room, and i saw her standing on the kitchen counter (she always did it to get stuff off the refrigerator herself), so I yelled at her (from the room, it was a small apartment) to "stop and get off the counter", and she comes out from behind the closet and asks why she should stop playing with her dolls? goddamn i was so freaked out, that was the only time I DIDN'T mind sharing my room with her XD

  19. *whistles the X-Files theme* I really need to rewatch that show someday.

Now as for stories, i only got one i still talk about with my childhood friends every now and then. What we did was just laying on the grass, watching the clouds and airplanes, stuff kids do you know. Anyway there was this one plane, that disappeared behind a small cloud. What's so special about that? It never came out from behind that cloud again. We watched it for several minutes, but in the end it just disappeared to god knows where. Weird right? Of course we told the grown ups about it, and they were like, "Maybe you guys saw an UFO." Crazy shit.

And yes, i do like to believe in some paranormal stuff. A lot of it is just a bunch of bs of course, but there some things that could be true you know. BELIEVE!

  20. Lets see, 13 billions years since the big bang.

    Lots of expansion.

If humanity is actually possible as an example species seeing as we have space flight and the intellect to at least ask the question. Consider we have only been 'civilized' for 10k years, because beyond that yer pushing it.

Then there is the whole length of time for a star to form, and generate a system, and the planet to generate life if it ever will.

Factor all that in, and the numbers beat the living fuck out of the chances of an alien ever coming her to probe your dumb ass that's for sure.
You have a better chance of anal rape from a horny moose.

Time travel is according to physics 'not impossible'.
According to physics though, TIME is likely not what you thought it was.

As for the unusual, the paranormal, and all of that, I am not against the idea of our discovering things in the future that today are beyond our understanding.
