The thing is, if you have the choice between the "blond american macho"

I'd prefer a real person and not a cliché'd stereotype to be my friend.
If the question is which one I'd rather meet, I'd have to answer Japanese, for study-sake. Don't think I'd get entertained for a long time with the generic blond super strong American.

Ok here a bit more background story as to why I asked that question:
Since the big earthquake in Japan and the leakage in the reactor at Fukushima,
the American Army has started the mission "Tomodachi".
After that the Media reported the Americans as the best friends
of Japan.
Now I would rather look for a friend that I´m not indepted to, rather than jumping to conclusions.
However I would like a Japanese friend more, since my experience with
American ones was rather bad...

Personally I don't desire friends...I'm more into one-sided relationships meaning I take and give only if I feel like it -> internet...
