I have the same thought but I decided to read the story I think the charges are bullshit.
One Detectives investigating child porn made the charge and people who do this line of work tend to be the biggest bunch of corrupt fuck ups you can find anywhere two she'd be making much more then $50 an hour as a high powered attorney.
If she was a hooker she'd likely charge much more then $50.I think she'll end up suing and winning maybe if we're lucky it'll teach cops to not be reading emails without a warrant and such.
The evidence is at best shaky I do know if I was on the jury I'd say she was not guilty even if she looked like a pig well in that case it would be even more evidence to the contrary that she is a hooker.
I think the detectives will end up regretting that they tried this shit on someone who knows her way around the law.
I never thought I would be cheering for a lawyer to sue the fuck out of someone.
Really I hope she ends up suing for a millions ,wins and destroys the careers of those detectives and the prosecutor in the process.Yes their tears will be most delicious esp if they're not only fired but can never again pursue a career in law enforcement, and are forced to be an average smuck working at a walmart.
I even even look forward to seeing the prosecutor's family being force to use food stamps.

Huh, you can get charged by selling sex?? Here in Sweden it's the one who buys sex that gets the crap, the one selling sex is seen as the "victim".

In Germany you form a oral( no pun indeed) contract with the hooker. And everything is fine. Idk why prostitution is made illegal in the US of A.

Simple the nosy puritan element in the US that think they know best and must interfere with everyone's life for their own good.
Personally I think this element needs to be purged.
I'm not talking genocide but instead be given their own country that they can run into the ground and turn into a third world hell hole.Posted 4 years ago # -

I don't really understand why is prostitution illegal anywhere...
I see the point that some women got into the business through financial or threatening force but banning something completely has never helped to solve problems...As for this lady...I don't sympathize as much with her since if the charges are true as an attorney she could've been more clever as to offer service near a school >__>
Even never graduated whores know as much and this woman attended a university...Posted 4 years ago # -

I would not do this on beliefs only actions.
So if you are religious and largely keep it to yourself you'd have nothing to fear but if you are a nosy hypocrite then you better pray.Strawberry Suicide said:

Even never graduated whores know as much and this woman attended a university...I severely doubt the validity of the charges since all they have is an email.
Now if they had video or got her in a sting they would have a case but they don't.
This needs to be thrown out of court for insufficient evidence. In stead I see this case as an example of law enforcement over stepping their bounds and showing no respect for due process or the fourth amendment which this clearly violates.
They did not have probable cause and it was not related to their on going investigation.
Nor do they have much in the way of supporting evidence.
What they do have is something that is easily forged.
I want to see everyone involved with this case against her hoisted by their own petard and rendered impoverished.Posted 4 years ago # -
She is kind of cute but way out of my league.

If said email contained details on exchanging money for sexual favors it is a valid evidence to charge someone for prostitution...The fact she met the person who she exchanged these emails with confirms the possibility of prostitution thus also strenghtens the charges...
I suspect the man in one or the other way was a suspect of owning/producing/providing child pornography thus police was given allowance to check his emails - as a force of law it's their duty to investigate any form of possible crime they stumble upon...
Regardless of their current investigation the possibility of criminal acts HAS to be taken seriously by the police unless we wouldn't have real robbers, killers and pedophiles etc behind bars...
And note, am talking about sentencing her for prostitution...I'm talking about the validity of the charges...

That is why I doubt it she would be very much more then $50 if she was
a hooker.
I'd put her in the $500 range at least.
Someone classy like that would not be a $50 whore they would be a high dollar whore. The thing is it was an email which can easily be forged.
I do supect very foul play on the part of the investigators they could not get their CP arrest so they decided to get their needed teabag points elsewhere and thought she would be an easy mark.
Also why I hope she not only beats this but hits the police department with a truly devastating counter suit.
I want to see the tears of pigs.
There are few things in this world I find more sicking then a dishonest cop and everything seems to point in that direction.
This case smells of rotten pork.Posted 4 years ago # -
Well, I respect the police as a protective force and I believe in laws...
Of course every post with authority has corruption however blaming the whole for the sins of the few is in my eyes an ignorant standpoint...Posted 4 years ago # -

I call foul on this case because the evidence is insubstantial and the claims are at best ridiculous.
For one someone like her would not be a cheap $50 whore.
She probably makes more in a month at her job as a lawyer then the detectives make in an entire year.If they wished to arrest her they should have done it via sting by having a cop pose as a John and meet her.
"Email alone should not be enough evidence to make a charge only enough to direct an investigation."
If she accepts an offer for money in exchange for sex from an undercover officer or an informant waring a wire then you have a case if not you have jack.
If you are unwilling to do this work to make an arrest then in my book you are unfit to be a police officer and certainly do not deserve my respect.Posted 4 years ago # -
I pass the discussion on this one 'cause clearly we view the issue from different standpoints and both of us lack any insight to make reliable remarks...

A firefighter someone who regularly puts his life on the line was arrested because of lazy detective work.
The only reason he was spared a prison sentence was because the real arsonist found his conscious and turned himself in.This story makes me wonder how many innocent people may have been wrongly sentenced for crimes they did not commit.
Also don't get me going on the war on drugs addicts should be looked at as victims not criminals.Posted 4 years ago # -
Also don't get me going on the war on drugs addicts should be looked at as victims not criminals.
That's most likely not the idea of the police but of attorneys, human right organizations and addiction centers...
Personally I'm disgusted by the victimizing of addicts simply because as I were confronted with temptations such as alcohol, cigarettes and drugs I said no - becoming a consumer is a choice...
If a child is told not to eat the cookie but still does it won't get victimized and most likely neither the tasty cookie nor the mother who baked and put it on the table gets blamed...
The limitation of a free choice is that taking the wrong path leads to negative consequences - I don't see how this shouldn't apply for addicts...
