Anyways, IQ is good if all you want is to measure how good someone's "hardware" is for doing one thing. The fastest calculator isn't exactly the best, if you know what I mean.
If intelligence is knowing how to deal with problems, being creative, having common sense, lack of bias, sense of humor, good communication, etc., then I don't see how or why IQ would matter.
IQ is hardware, personality is the operating system, unless your OS's performance is bottle-necked by the hardware it shouldn't be a problem at all.
