i was bored after what I deemed to be a pretty good press conference. So stumbled upon this press release. This press release along with the videos and game announcements make it seem like I am going to buy another Nintendo system.

Height of about a width of about 46mm × 172mm × Depth 268.5mm (excluding protrusions)

The new controller is 6.2 inches, 16:9 button controller that combines what is familiar and the touch screen, slide the two pads is attached.
This rechargeable controller power button, HOME button, arrow pad, A / B / X / Y Buttons, L / R buttons, ZL / ZR is attached to the button. In addition, accelerometers, gyroscopes, vibration function, camera, microphone, speakers, sensor unit is equipped with a stylus.

Wii Remote (or Wii Remote +) can simultaneously connect up to 4. Classic Controller and Nunchuk, Classic Controller PRO, and Wii Balance Board, or any input device that corresponds to the Wii controller.

New hardware for high-density optical and 12cm, Wii can play for a 12cm self-loading optical disc (disc type will automatically draw) with a single drive.

1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480p, 480i compatible. HDMI, Component, D terminal, S-terminal, corresponding to each of the composite cable.

AV Multi-output and output from the HDMI output terminal supports 6CH PCM linear.

In addition to the internal flash memory, SD memory card or external USB can be extended by using the hard drive capacity.

IBM Power ® -based multi-

4 USB 2.0 has a single pin. The new hardware backwards compatible Wii games.

I think its the most universal console controller out there, and I'm not going to be able to afford it, nor will I find too many games I'd like to play with it. The Wii was good and fun when it first came out, but actual games in the "gamer" sense didn't come often. Besides, I mostly play JRPGs anyway (yea i know this site looks down on the rehashing, but I can't help it. I like them). Its kinda bulky for a motion controller too.

Nintendo keeps saying that its been created to target the hardcore gamer audience, but I just can't see myself getting it at this point.

Huh what JRPGs are boss. Anyone that think different well I disagree. I mean what this new console can do is pretty nice. I mean the controller is a tablet and a controller. The graphics will be there this time like the other consoles. Finally it's a Nintendo system so you will get great 1st party games. This time around though better 3rd party support.

Looks interesting. The screen controller could be a cool way to impliment player moderated games, like PNP rpgs with a game master

The you must haven't seen the new Zelda console demo in HD. Also yeah because I really didn't see anything that wowed me from Sony or Microsoft besides I am mostly a PC gamer.So I am going to go with this new console.

However, may I recommend, that it remain *up* for a few hours more? - just to ensure that you have covered all times zones (for all the members) and peoples interests...respectfully?

This way, you may receive more replies, once they have returned from their time zones...

But, I can do what is requested...

Yeah but it's still an oversized DS if you think about it.
Maybe they bring out another "classic" controller who knows.

I hear it's pretty comfortable depsite what its looks... Unless you mean you don't wanna play with a controller that big cause it looks stupid?

Because i bet it's like the WiiMote.
Something you don't need at all.
Oh now i can probably have my inventory on my controller screen or some useless shit like that.
Might as well just use a regular one.

I watched some promo vids for it, and it really looks like the true strength of the controller lies in multiplayer gaming where one player has access to a completely discrete view from everyone else. There were examples of stuff like a 4v1 deathmatch, or my idea, of an RPG with a GM.

You mean like online play?
Nintendo and online, yeah we all know they're the kings at that.
They better make sure they have enough good GAMES on that thing.
But after the last 3 consoles, i'm not so sure about that.

Its going to have Tom Clancy online and battlefield 3 I think it will have good online lol.

Dude, I actually LOVED the second screen, come on, that's fucking great.

You know how UI takes space on the screen and makes the game uglier/more cramped? This can get rid of most of it. Get me an HD pokemon game with all the interface on the controller and let me see how amazing that shit would look.

I've been a PC gamer for a long time now, console gaming died to me, they NEED something new if they want to make console gaming unique. Rofl, this E3 was all about Battlefield 3 and Mass Effect, why would I play those in a console?
