I already own a Wii. Should I trade it in for a Wii U though?
you should use your Wii as a doorstop and buy a Wii U ;o

But the Wii Remotes are usable as controllers for the Wii U, so you might want to keep those.

Thanks, Nin. I'll keep the Wiimotes. So I already have a TV, but Is that new controller optional? Cause is it seems like a waste.
Doesn't it come with the machine itself? I imagine most games are going to use it as the main controller. But considering a lot of the Wii games also allowed the nunchuck, classic controller and Gamecube controller to be used, maybe the tablet controller won't be that important to a lot of Wii U games.

I read on Wikipedia it will provide additional functionality. Even if it's already hooked up to a TV. Hmmm, interesting.
Oh yes. They showed a lot of those functions in the 2011 E3 trailer. Well, it has a touch screen, after all, so it's natural that it would have some nice functions. Touch screens are great.
Nintendo is making a Controller for TV and a Gamer Controller for those Hardcore Gamers who play FPS and Fighting games
I want DOA5 on the Wii U with that controller.

It is sad because the new DC fighting game will be on Wii U and so will Aliens, and AC3. This is just what was announced today. Oh let us not forget a new zombie survival horror game will be exclusive to Wii U.

The absolute only reason the Wii didn't have any fighters....was because it was the wii. It wasn't as powerful as the other consoles and Capcom seems to love their abusive relationship with Sony too much anyways. Wii U will be as powerful as the PS3 if not more (from the looks of that bird tech demo from last year with the realtime lighting). They can port anything they want at this point, Nintendo doesn't have to commission much anymore I feel. I'd speak to Ueda though, seeing as he is no longer with sony- I'd like to see him become a household name.
