Russell Brand is banned from Japan

  1. British comedian and actor Russel Brand was forced to leave the country because he has a criminal record, leaving his wife Katy Perry behind to perform her show.

Katy posted on Twitter to vent her fury and said: ‘So...my husband just got deported from Japan. I am so. sad. I brought him all this way to show him my favorite place'.

According to the article, this Brand has been arrested 12 times. It's pretty hard to get arrested 12 times, so I'm having some trouble taking pity on him.

  7. So he got deported for just having a criminal record. Was he trying to live in Japan?

  8. This sorta happened to Robert Downey Jr too.
he was going to japan for a press-tour when Iron-man came out.

they sat him in a room for 6 hours about his drug-related troubles back in the 80s and 90s... and they grudgingly let him into the country for the tour, but told him that he would NEVER be allowed to enter again.

He was there visit because he wanted to support his super star wife.

  10. Why should his actions even warrant deportation it seems like the kinda of shit most movie stars do?
It's not like he was involved in a terrorist organization or smuggling ring etc.

I think Ishithara is somehow behind this.

I find it retarded that a drug related charge from ten+ years ago should even matter.
He was just using them and was not smuggling in tons of the stuff.
I could understand their actions If he was drug or weapons smuggler.
Is Japan's government highjacked by completely inept morons?

  11. The Japanese are just as racist as we are. If I was running a country I wouldn't let in anyone unless they had a clean background check and could pass a high school equivalency exam (and not that pathetic piece of shit I had to take). Hell if I ran a business I wouldn't hire anyone who didn't fit that criteria.

  12. This is news ? We deport people with criminal records as well. Yes the United states and other countries also deport people with criminal records. go figure.

I don't know should they let Yoko Ono into Japan considering she had a history of using drug's even having a criminal record?

I think something along those lines should be used to get a citizenship instead of visiting. Tourists help the economy so why make it such a pain in the ass just to go on a vacation vacation.

I would not give a damn as long as they don't try to sneak a kilo of coke in or are associated with a crime syndicate.
I may hassle for carrying in pot but small amounts won't result in any real charges.
As for hiring for a business it depends on what it was,how long ago the charge was and the position they want.
A recent history of theft would deny you any position that involves handling money.
BTW I'd consider embezzlement far worse then stealing from the mall or any drug charge.
Sticky fingers would only result in small losses unless it's wide spread, drugs safety issues but a large white collar scam could sink the company.
