BEHOLD... the bang for the buck mass-produced supersports and USA's middle finger (on Nurburgring and the "prestigious" LeMans) is back with a vengeance with euro and jap equivalent in crosshairs...

Those "production" cars running the ring are ringers (no pun intended). Same thing with the GTR.

    wat?

i thought the definition of a "ringer" is if you're caught using non-stock OEM and not-approved D.O.T. consumables such as tires... or you tweak the boost of the turbos... both of which is R-33 and R-35 GT-R accused of...

and as for the corvette's 7:19 and 7:22 lap times... i think it's very conservative since those times were achieved by a non-pro driver and staff engineer Jim Mero... put Johnny O'Connell or Jan Magnussen behind the wheel in the same track condition and I think they can bring it down to 7:10 or less.

  4. 4 cylinders inline is more primitive than V engines. More pistons, more power. Even GTR has a turbo V8 engine. That's the only muscle car and the fastest car that jap ever made, but still, lingenfelter corvettes are the best.

What domestic V8 have you seen with VVT, DOHC, five valves per cylinder, and/or direct injection?

    More pistons, more power.
Don't you mean "no replacement for displacement"?
Even GTR has a turbo V8 engine.
    V6

GTR isn't muscle car, something like a STI or Evo wold be a muscle car. And it's only the fastest production import because it's one of the few made after the gentlemens agreement restricting power output.
but still, lingenfelter corvettes are the best.
But still, Mine's GTRs are the best.

Now you're getting the hang of it!

What domestic V8 have you seen with VVT, DOHC, five valves per cylinder, and/or direct injection?

The new 5.0 "coyote" Ford engine has VVT, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder(I know, 4 valves, how passe can you be....), don't know about DI though.

not sure if it's pure coincidence... but even Hyundai now has a similar engine like the Coyote... with direct injection!

A coupe with 3.8 L 480hp engine? Yes, that would be a muscle car. Evo has 2.0 L engine, that's a dick muscle. And STI is a compact car.

Lingenfelter Corvette goes 0-60 in 1.97 secs, does quarter mile in 8.95 secs, and 230 mph of maximum speed, nothing could beat this muscle, not even fucking Veyron.
