  1. Do you like Japanese sport cars? I call them rice burner. Well, I don't really like them, but I'm a fan of muscle cars. I think muscle cars are better. Why? Because they're stronger, faster, and more affordable. A stock muscle car can produce more than 500 hp, so you don't have to strip down your car just to make it go faster. Ricers accelerates slower than muscles (Except for that new nissan GTR that reach 0-60 in 3 seconds), Dodge Viper Hennesey Venom can go from 0-60 in 2.2 seconds and there's a Corvette that goes 0-60 in 1.9 seconds, shit I forgot the name.
6.0 L muscle cars can reach 700 hp, even the stock ones. If you need more power, superchargers and blowers makes your car faster and adds extra power up to hundreds of horsepower. But I never seen any ricers with blowers. Let's see, if a stock 2011 Shelby GT500 could go 0-60 in 4 sec then we attach a supercharger inside, it will go 0-60 in about...2 seconds.
With this high performance, muscle cars are also more affordable. A $55,000 Shelby GT will go from 0-60 in 5 seconds or less, compared to a $70,000 Skyline GTR that goes from 0-60 in more than 6 seconds. And muscle cars have better design too. They look fast, strong, and powerful at the same time.

I ain't trolling, I'm just sharing my opinions to you that I love those beasts. Hey, I wrote Japan with capital, I still respect them. The only things I hate about Japanese are their animations and cars, and a several other things. The point is, this thread ain't troll.

  4. nice story, but the big block is a thing of the past. In 20 years you're going to have a really hard time finding fuel to feed it.

Times are changing, the only place you'll see big block cars will be in museums, in private collections and the occasional enthusiast who takes out theirs from the back of the garage for the customary Sunday Drive.
Even in Detroit, they baby their classics - they don't open them up on the backroads like in the old days.

New muscles are relatively fuel efficient, about 26 mpg on the highway.

  6. Intriguing yarn chap.

While I agree that if you want power go with American Muscle, you post is a rather long winded and pointless rant.

  8. New muscle cars are a shadow of the glorious classics. They don't compare.

I know a flakey retired doctor who regularly drives a shelby cobra. he likes to blow away rich youngsters with these so called "new muscles".
But unfortunately he raced one too many and got his license suspended.

Dirty is right, most muscle cars, got shitty cornering characteristics.
In an open race with corners and hairpins, a muscle car is always left in the dust.

Even Aaron & his motorcycle would leave a muscle in the dust.

    A Semi Tractor driver?

    A ship?

A armoured car carrying bank notes?

    A nuclear ballistic missile sub?

    A tow truck?

A funny wagon (van for carrying crazy people and/or convicts)

But these require different torque of course.

  18. Okay. So what's so good about Japanese and Euro cars? Japanese are too focused to style and Euro cars are too comfortable, so comfortable they make me landsick. Americans and Australians are focused to performance and reliability.

  19. Comfortable?
Ever heard of the KTM X Bow or the good ol Caterham?

  20. American cars fail at reliability.

This is why they're losing the game and why they have so little market share these days.

In California alone, 60% of the cars & trucks are japanese & europeon made.
