Just tinking about the past.

The first RPG i play, was this FF: Misic quest game, since then i live for RPG, the same goes for the command and Conquer game for N64.

those games changed my gaming life, where i live (almost nobody knows English) no one play games, and the ppl who do, hate RPG, they say that those games are boring.

But i live for that games, RPG´s and Strategy are my life.

Animes that i am sure that had some influence in my life, are the ones like Clannad and School days.

and the manga of KODOMO NO JIKAN of course, this CHANGED my life and the way a see it.

I hope there are somthing that had some inffluence in your lives.

I just hope i don´t sound too weird, stupid or sick and so.... -_-"

Neon Genesis Evangelion.
It taught me much about myself, the invisible bonds people make, and understading of humanity.

As for games, not life changing but they still openned my eyes, Bioshock and Braid.

I would have to say NGE too because I bought the big art book from barns n' noble in 2002 and it inspired me to draw sooo much. Especially his watercolors of the race car girls.

oh yes kodomo no jikan made me really love drawing lollis and the story was much deeper than just fan service.

Sailor Moon changed me I think. It allowed me to see the world in sparkly pastels since childhood.

In general, anime and games dictated my lifestyle. What I spend time doing, what I spend money on, how I meet new people. Anime has actually made me more social than I would be otherwise. I'm naturally quiet and shy, but with anime at least I'm not so shy around my fellow brethren.

ef - tale of memories & xxxholic. not on my top 5 favorite anime list, but these were the anime that change the most out of every anime i watched.
i kinda think every anime i watch changes the way i think about something at least a little bit. (like some sick hentai i watched lol, now i'm very open-minded)

Did they have cartoon network back then? I never had cable. I just remember watching it on some regular tv channel.

As for me I'd say multitude of things changed me, not just anime n' games. But to name a few I suppose would P3 & P4 both games kinda threw a message out that sank into me with P3 showing that everything goes on the journey of life and it's end comes death. P4 just brought me to for finding and being my true self while also comming to terms who others around me are.

I just remembered that my first anime( after i found out what anime was, since i just call them cartoons back then) was Trigun.....that is the reason i found myself here in the anime world

It was on around 2001 I know on one of the regular tv channels in the morning because I used to watch it everyday before middle school. I think it was also on Toonami on Cartoon Network at around 4 in the afternoon (i think).

this is where it began for me....

I saw it on VHS mind you and since then (and by sheer luck) I've watched much anime titles (most of whom were either OVAs or films) and I haven't looked back...

the only reason why I'm "far behind the current" is because of busy schedules and because I don't like playing the "follow the leader" mentality that even plagues the anime fandom

Oh, I see. I watched it during it's original broadcast in '95 by DiC.

Because I didn't have cable, I didn't have cartoon network, so I never saw toonami. So I missed out on that nostalgia stuff from Gundam wing and tenchi. But I ended up watching most of those series later by buying dvds or downloading. Still, I missed out on a nostalgia chance.

No one game has changed my life, but, thanks to Steel Panthers, or rather thanks to the fucking swine I met as a result of it, I have today turfed wargaming as being the hobby of miserable fucking old men it seems to be.

Still like the game Steel Panthers, but, the men of wargaming, you can all fuck off and die.

As for anime, well, there is no one show more than any other, but, considering all the pain I have experienced since becoming disabled, and considering how anime has allowed me to heal to some extent, well, I owe a lot to anime.

And yes, those lousy cocksucking old men generally used my love of anime as a means to be nasty to me. Fuck em all to hell. I leave them and their lousy miserable selves to themselves. They deserve each other.

I hope Obama just continues to ruin life for the whole bunch of them. It's all they ever bitch about.

Thank god for silver linings. I had to lose a lot because of my disability, but on the other hand, I have managed to realize, that while I can't work, I CAN live the life of a teenager indefinitely.

Now if you will excuse me, I have a model to get back to.
Yep, all day every day all I do is make models. And watch anime to take a break periodically. Not entirely what I expect to be doing with my life.
But the upside, is it pisses off those miserable bastard old men to know I am not working while they have to.

Digimon - in general taught me have to dream.

watching the movie especially when i was younger was awesome. nothing cool came on tv those days, power rangers, pokemon and etc were fine; but digimon was crazy compared to them.

the very idea of a digital world was mind boggling. dragon ball z had aliens, pokemon had monsters, power rangers had giant mechas but digimon had a virtual world created out of information - the stuff of dreams.

Gintama - taught me how to be a man.

madao taught me that it's fine being the scum of society, as long as you live how you wish to live and more importantly, that to not live how you wish to live is strange.

Ichigo 100% - the manga.

read it when i was 13/14 iirc and i can still remember how messed up the ending was. the last chapter where they all meet up in the future, it disgusted me greatly.

Lunar: The Silver Star - first real rpg game that i played. borrowed console + game from older cousin to play and it was awesome. totally new experience.

Spice and Wolf - met Horo~

Oh yeah, Sailor Moon on ZDF (German Free-TV) back in 1995. The very beginnig of animes on German TV.
And of course NGE, the first VHS I actually bought, back in 1997.
