Well I've been reading the comments about the situation in Malaysia.And I think we should just make a thread about it instead.

Those articles don't influence my opinion on Valentine's Day at all. They reinforce my opinion on totalitarian islamic culture though.

Well considering it is JUST Valentines day and nothing more, the idea so many Muslims are facing prison sentences only serves to make Muslims look like the religion of retards (nothing to do with peace at all).

To me, it's really just a reason to make the wife breakfast and give her a few chocolates.

I understand why the single guys are not to overly thrilled with it. Who needs a depressing day devoted to reminding them they're alone.

I regard it like Christmas, an over stated day meant to highlight what should have been equally special on the other 364 days of the year.

I do believe that V-Day should - NOT BE - the - SOLE DAY - to celebrate your amorous admiration for your significant other.

That - should be - a constant thing every day...

Nonetheless, (most) need a reminder and need a specific "Day" for such things, idk the reasons "why" one would need such (nor) do I care for the reasons, to each their own.

I should point out that V-Day - "does not remind me of a lonely day" - nor does it remind me that - "I am single" - or - "forever alone" - as says the popular saying now-a-days..

I actually don't worry about it anymore and why should I?

I am single, because I am picky, and I need to take allot into consideration (before) embarking on any relationship.

Not only for me, but my future partner needs to understand those reasons, and be able to deal with those situations as well.

So, its out of respects to her, that I never lie about those issues, that it's spoken directly up front, and ensured that its understood.

DON'T MISUNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SAYING HERE...

I am a romantic at heart, and ~ I WILL GO ALL OUT!!

However, (for me) the time of playing games, mind fucking, non-communicative romantic drama is over for me, as I do not seek such things any-longer, time is precious and there is no need to be wasting it on such...

I am not in HS anymore...

I think that saying stuff like "Valentine's Day shouldn't be the only day when you guys show your affection! Thereby I won't celebrate Valentine's Day!" is just as bad as only showing affection once a year.

What's wrong with celebrating it? I like Valentine's Day, I really appreciate if people want to go on a date and have fun on that day and be stupidly lovey dovey.

Sure, it shouldn't be just one day that you show your affection, but simply because this day has been named Valentine's Day, you shouldn't stop showing affection.

To me it seems that you people are whiny.
