I was thinking about it, my first instinct was -why buy a phone from a non-electronics brand, based on probable durability, when you can buy a phone from a well known brand and just buy a good case-
but for this particular phone, I guess if you work in construction or the docks or any kind of environment where durability is a priority, likely you are a dude who doesn't care for facebook or apps or any other phone extras, other than phone, text and email, so if that's the case then yeah a phone like that would make sense
it would be a great phone also for avid outdoors peoples, granted they're not the kind that selfie and instragram everything they do, then this phone may not be the best choice

You do realize that it is a smartphone with Android 4.4 and a quad-core processor, right?
Posted 3 months ago # -
I didn't, nor do I know what none of that means XD
Posted 3 months ago # -
it means that the phone is more powerful than your gayman rig lol

Basically, it means that it has all the capabilities of a modern smartphone, the only drawbacks are the 4GB ROM and the 800*480 screen.

The amazon reviews claim that internal storage is 4GB and that apps can only be run if installed on said internal storage.
The also claim that they're not as rugged as they look, although some of the stories about breaking them are pretty outlandish.

low res and so-so rom, not good for annoying people who are glued to their phones on instagram and twitter and facebook and a bunch such devices
good for people who only want phone text and email, and occasionally internet, given their line of work requires ruggedness.
am pretty happy with my sony xperia, shit is waterproof which has provided many good shower faps, I just added a $20 rugged case and it has remained as new, also the case has an edge that has worked as a bottle opener

Xperia Z series is good. Most smartphone screens have either a bluish or greenish-yellow discoloration for me except for most of Sony and Apple. The worst offenders are Alcatel and Samsung.

I've been very happy with Sony phones, even for a Sony fanfag I was surprised. Before I switched to smartphones I had a couple of motorola flip phones, and a sony ericcson cybershot (the one from james bond)
then my first smartphone was an LG, really shitty, don;t remcomend LG
then I switched to a xperia z, which I still have as backup, but I think I should sell on ebay. the Z3 I have right now I've had for about a year and continue to be very happy with. it bothers me that Sony has allegedly decided to get out of the laptop and phones market, so I'll either make this phone last, or eventually buy their last model/whichever model james bond uses in the Spectre movie, and then move on with another brand in 4 years or so

Sony didn't quit the phone market. They released Z5 just a month ago. The Z5 Premium even has a 4K display.

Can't guess what the keyboards brand is.That's a Corsair. Fairly sure it's the K70 but, unfortunately one with the 'tramp stamp' brand logo that Corsair didn't keep for long due to people complaining :).

hmmm, so given that I keep my animoos and movies in external drives, which would be a best option?I'm sure I've asked this same thing every year or so, or at least since I learned about hdmi and I started hooking my laptop to the telly
Kinda depends on what you want to do. What I would do is get a NAS so you can play your files on any device you want play them on through the local network.
If you have bunch of external disks it might complicate things with how you get files from one to the other place without ending up with some spare disks. Might get technical and somewhat pricey which doesn't sound like what you're looking for.
If you have the money for it, get a pre-build NAS, something like the
Western Digital My Cloud EX2100. Then you have some nice storage accessible through the local network. Then hook up a TV Box to the TV, these can be obtained cheaply from for example gearbest.com. Something like the Beelink Mini MX for example is only ~€43.The cheapest solution and basically what you're asking for would be just connecting your USB-disks directly to the box linked above.
The box above has a very recent CPU and the latest version KODI which is important when you watch anime.Posted 3 months ago # -
Guys, is Crucial BX100 1TB good? It's so cheaper than Samsung or Plextor 1TB...

Anything from Crucial is usually good.

Hm, OCZ Trion 100 960MB has the same price. What is better? >.>
Posted 3 months ago # -
Definitely the Crucial. The Crucial BX100 series is great. OCZ's SSDs I wouldn't trust.
