  1. Sexual attraction isn't entirely encoded into our genes and expressed. Much of it is learned through culture, and there are some ways in which Pavlovian conditioning can be used to force someone to develop a sexual fetish.

i agree completely I think my foot fetish and loli fetish and even love if traps is not good for reproduction but can be explained from much experiences i had growing up and the views i developed on sex as i was little. (Nabokov's dead gf anyone?)

Ah, you read the original Lolita book? That probably explains it. I just happened to be watching ecchi anime back when I was 16 and started to become attracted to some of the more well-developed loli's and went from there.

I'm saying like a person checking out Loli doujins is at least different level wise then that of somebody with Kiddy porn.

What really sucks about all of this is if cases like these keep coming up The courts might say Loli images are connected to actual child abuse which i would think would cause a ban

If you like to read hentai manga, and your really worried about it, I would suggest that you buy an external hard drive and download a copy of truecrypt (www.truecrypt.org) and encrypt your hard drive containing said manga. Remember, for this to work you must always dismount the drive when your not using it, and flush your memory.

Courts have ruled in the past that a IP doesn't = a person, so they must prove that you actually own such content, and if you have a properly encrypted HD (using AES) no one will ever be able to prove whats on that HD (maybe the NSA could, but they would never reveal that they've broken the AES encryption format for such a minor case).

I was wondering what I'd do if I ever wanted to take my external across the border. I'll remember to keep this in mind

How do they even know you are carrying that kind of content in your HDD in the first place?...

Meh, this whole thing is just kinda screwed up... for god's sake, real children are not harmed in the makings of 2D loli content = ="...

IP's can track downloads to your computer network if you don't have programs to shut them out.

  15. This discussion has also come up on AnimeNewsNetwork in the threads for the appropriate editorial releases. The legal aspects of this (especially when compared to other cases which are not proceeding identically) are hard to sort out, this is slowly happening on the lolicon wikipedia article though, if anyone wants to help research some references on the points of confusion or lack of information, that would be helpful.

It's been ruled before that lolicon is completely legal in the US. It's not legal to buy, sell, or transport it over state lines, however.

Which is really quite ridiculous. Commercial transactions are one thing, transportation for private use is another. Basically, what they're saying is, "we can't technically pass a law against you having this stuff, but just the same, god help you if we catch you with it!"
