these guys are sooo gonna lose out to coreans in the long run (samsung and hyundai both hired better foreign talent in their ranks and are raking in profits)
and also, buying anime swag won't be as cheap as it was... in 2008 dollars.

Normally I'd refute that considering their government spends more like drunken sailors than we do, but their country can get away with it thanks to their massive current account surpluses. But who knows how long that will last.

They might as well have Microsoft invest into there companies but the problem is Microsoft isn't popular among Japanese population considering that they try to help invest into Japanese Game developers companies.
Those Companies express Xbox 360 system was good but at the same time try to release information on what Microsoft did by telling everyone that they try to make tales of series a exclusive for Xbox 360 and look what happen to them there games didn't sell well and made a big mistake to make Microsoft into a bad guys.

if only the westerners would accept anime just as it is then they would sell figmas and merchendise like hotcakes... it was fine with english sub! until US dubbers ruined the anime...

Because majority of third world country people are too dumb to make any sort of calculation. They never really care if having more than 2 kids will jeopardize their expenses in the future.
They also lack of any form of entertainment beside Tv, so they fuck a lot more than your average people in developed country. Last but not least, majority of 3rd world are Muslim. Their believe is, if we got kids, its gift from God. Condom/protection are not the one who make the decision.

It's more r strategy vs K strategy than anything else. When you don't know what's going to happen to your food supply or whether you will get eaten by animals or succumb to disease, you have as many kids as possible as a means of insurance against such events.
I hope they decline even more so I can spend less money to get the games I want.

That makes me wonder if we should make some sorta genophage that causes auto immune sterility or even robots that eat people for fuel.
