But a decade is such a long time. I don't think I can possibly remember every game I've played in the past decade.

Metal Gear Solid 3

You asked for game of the decade, and I think that's it. Greatest game to come out for wargaming in 10 years. So what if it doesn't have a damned franchise label guaranteed to be milked to death.

While I loved MGS3, I think the honor of GotD should go to METAL GEAR SOLID 2.
While the graphics aren't as detailed as Snake Eater, the game engine runs at a near-constant 60 FPS, the enemy AI still considered one of the best in the stealth genre, and the postmodernist plot (while controversial) is a landmark in gaming history.

i liked MGS2 for its new take on P.O.V. plus towards the end it had me thinking hard about stuff but i also like MGS3 for its time period (another new take in itself) overall the MGS series should be known for both making new (some-what drastic) changes while staying consistent to its overall "history" I also like to nominate final fantasy XII to the mix
why?: i'm a sucker for Ivalice because of that game now :p
