More then 1000 North Koreans face jail time for watching South Korean movies. Kinda reminds me of those 15 guys horsewhipped for watching that south Korean actor in Ninja Assassin because non-muslim movies are forbidden.

The country that sells lolis on the street arrested a Japanese photojournalist for porn charges because he took a pic of a fully clothed married couple kissing. This all would have went away quicker if you just bribe them dude.

Japanese discount chain forced to remove Nazi costume after Jews complain. Wait.... there are Jews in Japan? I for one think it's no more offensive then someone dressing like any other historical soldier of genocide be it a Maoist costume, or a Roman costume, or whatever. Seriously don't be so sensitive.

the Persians are cool people. It's just that douche in power who won't step down after losing an election. I still think there is a peaceful solution though, no need for war IMO all that would do is unify the people against a common enemy, the US and Israel. I'd rather we peacefully support the people who fought back last election. I still think there is great hope for the Elamites if they ever get to rule themselves again.

also I submitted this bit to Fark thought it was funny.

  9. Meh I'm more worried about Iran than I am North Korea.

As long as China doesn't involve herself with North Korea, it could be resolved rather "quickly". I see N. Korea as a little Yorkie behind a fence.

Iran on the other hand is more dangerous b/c of her ties to other surrounding nations.

In a purely military stance(not counting political moves), I'm not worried about either in a conflict. Iran's nuclear capability is decreased thanks to stuxnet.
And N. Korea doesn't have much backing her, except her only real "ally" China.

Either way doesn't bother me, I get deployed; I go fix planes.

And I'm also disappointed by the news.

  10. Chinese food on Christmas? Seriously?

I know how over here Pizza Hut makes all these fancy pizzas and stuff during Christmas period but... Chinese food for Christmas.

A really foreign concept to me.
Can't imagine eating a bowl of Wanton Noodles during christmas.

You are over generalizing Chinese gastronomy based on fast food dishes, there is plenty of tasty stuff other your usual cooked dog or boiled rat...

I know plenty of Chinese foods. I'm of Chinese blood, after all, and live in Singapore, whose population consists mostly of Chinese.

But if I'm wrong it's probably because I don't know how large the variety of Chinese food is overseas apart from the usual Char Siew Noodle and Dumplings.
I mean, that's all they ever eat in movies and stuff.
