    Most people will favour the overpowered ones since they are stronger. Why else would pretty much all fighting games have character tiers?

    Fact: Having a selection of powerful characters and the other being cannonfodder does not make a good game.

    Just depends on your taste then. I know some people who would look at playing the underpowered ones as a challenge and a "test of their manhood" while most would go for OP.

    I never stated that people wouldn't got for the underpowered for the challenge, or since they just like the character enough to ignore it. But the majority of people, shall we say the more casual player base, would go for the overpowered ones. You pretty much just restated what I said there.

    What really breaks the idea of having an unbalanced game is that you (generally) cater to a majority of people when developing a game, and the majority of the players will want a balanced game. And really, a completely unbalanced game is pretty much a sign of the developers being too lazy to fix it.
