Using Photoshop CS4.
Double click the Background Layer, make it Layer 0, magic wand the area you want transparent, delete, save as png.
-Is how I think it goes?

I knew how to do that but that leaves the image ugly, least it did on mine, the source is supposed to be transparent, or so I thought.
I like it. But do we have to use that one render on the first page?

Try making a new layer on top of your image layer to put the Santa Hat in.

Still nuthin' I was hoping it was a render issue and I just opened it wrong but it's looking less and less like it.
