"It puts people's lives in danger, threatens our national security and undermines our efforts to work with other countries," she told reporters at the State Department.
the only lives "in danger" are the ones who posted the intel to wikileaks
"Efforts to work with other countries" indeed.

Or covert agents in other countries, whose names, pictures, or any other kind of identifying information was released.
The main problem seems to be all the unedited comments made on and by various world leaders. Oh, and that everything was leaked in the first place. Seriously, wtf are they doing with security.
Good thing Canada doesn't give a fuck.
Why can you not spell "its" correctly
The leaks have been rather boring. It's been stuff people could figure out easily themselves or was rather lame.

it wouldn't be such an issue at all if the U.S. would stop putting its nose into everyone's business that's like the one thing about the U.S. gov. ill never accept nor tolerate really other wise we wouldn't need to send agents in all directions but w/e as always Canada doesn't give a damn (why can't the U.S. learn from them?)

in short: all this drama is yet another distraction to feed the mindless masses (and nothing of value was lost)

select idiots into office i suppose but then again it wouldn't be such an issue at all if the U.S. would stop putting its nose into everyone's business that's like the one thing about the U.S. gov. ill never accept nor tolerate really other wise we wouldn't need to send agents in all directions but w/e as always Canada doesn't give a damn (why can't the U.S. learn from them?)
There was this interesting documentary I was watching today about if the US was to withdraw all its troops back home and stop interacting with the world. I'll have to get the name from my professor next time I have a chance.
In short: bloodshed and lots of it.

so? (seriously though inform me of this documentary when you get the chance)
5. U.S. foreign policy relies heavily on blog-ready gossip items. To get into the U.S. Foreign Service (and thus write diplomatic cables), applicants are required to pass an hours-long, highly competitive written examination, followed by an even more competitive oral examination and then go through months of intensive training. Then, it appears, they are dispatched to foreign embassies to write gossip about high level officials.
A sample? Libyan President Muammar al-Qadhafi gets Botox and travels constantly with a "voluptuous blonde" Ukrainian nurse named Galyna Kolotnytska. Azerbaijani First Lady Mehriban Alijewa has had so many facelifts that she resembles her own daughter from a distance -- but you can tell the difference close-up because she can't really move her face. A British Labour minister is quite the player (and is having marital problems) and might be bipolar. Russia's Vladimir Putin and Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi might have more in common than their reported extramarital shenanigans -- they could well be in business together, too. Russian President Dmitri Medved's wife, Svetlana, reportedly keeps a blacklist of staffers she deems insufficiently committed to her husband. Oh, and German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle is basically considered an idiot who knows little about foreign policy, but only the Germans really care about that.
Your tax dollars at work.
