I mean, if that guy was your brother.

No doubt, if you were in the victim's shoes, shoot that guy without remorse

The important part is that it was armed robbery with this

Honestly I as his bother would be pissed but after hearing the details I would let it go. Family is family sure, but there is a limit.

The family was just in victim (it's not our fault) mode. Some people accept the reality of the situation some don't.

    Uwaaaah... A parang.
Knife meant for hacking coconut trees. They're pretty heavy.
There have been quite a few slashing cases with these things where I live.
If I were that old man I would've shot him too.

Same here I would have gone for a head shot if I saw someone coming at me with one of those.
BTW in some US states they actually suggest that you kill a home invader vs shoot to injure because of the whole lawsuit deal.

  4. If you break into my house and tie up my (grand)kids, you get shot. Pure and simple. Back to the days when "trespassers will be shot", that's what we need.

The main reason this made the news was that the robber was a teen. If it were a 30 something year old mustachioed man, few would have cared.

  5. Hmm.....i just had a random thought.

would it technically be legal to rape anyone who trespasses. man or woman.?

i'm not a lawyer but i think one could argue Detaining and Subduing moral
    Scientific Evidence,
Averting murder, by instead teaching them a lesson.

    i mean cmon =3

That was actually brought up in a case in Texas. The Judge threw it out and charged the home-owner with Rape in the 2nd degree. Its really alot safer just to shoot em' in the head.

I've been wondering about one thing: does it have to include penile penetration to be legally considered rape or not?

Without penetration it can still be considered rape, under certain circumstances, but is usually lowered to molestation.

    But damn...voyerism is a Class C felony...DAMN.

    Hmm...I think I should start a Legal advice thread...Nah...
