damn! how do they justify that!?

If that really is what they're trying I would guess it would go worse than the last one. I mean wanting to ban lolis and shotas seems more reasonable than to wanting to ban flat chested girls and whatever the boy equivalent would be. At least when it goes to fishing votes for it, I'm guessing less people would say yes to the later.

all in the name of votes?
how about a party that won't take lip from china instead of pushing for bans?

I think they just want to do it, the internet filter never went through tho so they are not doing much other than saying stuff.

    unsung said:

    wouldn't that be discrimination then?

    yes it is.

    They dont.

  3. Gee if they ban naked lolis I lose nothing of concern.

Bummer wish I could give a shit, but I don't.

But as was mentioned earlier, if no one in Japan really supports it, it won't survive. So if that statement is true, then stfu and stop crying about it.

I forget the details, but it's not illegal, it's just that Australian porn agencies aren't publishing porn with A cups anymore because of pressure by groups related to the government.

  5. Why don't the Tokyoites just demand a gubernatorial recall election to remove Governor Ishihara from office?

Japanese prefectural governors CAN be removed from office by recall.

  6. This cannot be allowed to stand my fellow lolicons. There is nothing illegal about lolicon. It is a valid form of artwork. To deny an artist to display a medium based on age would be the same as to tell a sculptor to not sculpt anything with a head. It just doesn't make any sense. And to those who believe that drawing a loli is a crime, then I would ask you who exactly the victim of this crime is? Who is lolicon hurting? Why would there ever be a reason for someone to want it banned?

This argument always makes me lol

I don't think loli should be banned, but I certainly don't think it's "art". Depicting anything sexually is porn, plain and simple.

Usually this argument isn't made seriously, I grant you that.

But are porn and art mutually exclusive? Is Michelangelo's David porn simply because it has nudity? Obviously not, but what if someone masturbates to it? Is it no longer art? Obviously not.

But, in this case, we have something that is almost unquestionably art, and has also been used as pornography.

So, I would suggest to you that pornography is really something created by the audience when they consume art, and/or by the artist themselves as they produce it. Many times it's vulgar, crass, and dirty, but it can still be called art.

  10. >Depicting sexually

There's your answer. People aren't complaining about stuff like Ichigo Mashimaro, they're complaining about stuff like KnJ.

    >Depicting sexually

What do you mean by this? Depicting sex? Anything that in your opinion is sexual?

Arbitrarily deciding that anything containing or depicting sex is automatically no longer art is simply a cultural taboo on openly discussing sexuality.

If it's your opinion that makes something sexual, then see my last post.

There's certainly drawings/animation/films created solely for the purpose of pornography. But the only way you know this is by somehow knowing the intent of the creator. If they intended to simply make porn, then somehow it's not art, in your opinion.

But sometimes, art is all about expressing emotions. Sometimes those emotions are vulgar and dirty, but does that void them from representing anything? They're expressing their sexuality.

It might not be fine art, it might not be high class, but it's still an expression. And that means it's still art, whatever form it takes.

Who said porn can't be art?

And Kodomo no Jikan was a beautiful (and controversial) story! Plus it never actually showed anything (at least the version that I watched...).

Read the manga. Also it is indeed a wondeful story but it is also quite controversial.

I mean depicting the image in a way that makes the subject arousing. That manga about an elementary school girl learning about puberty isn't sexual, because it's clearly trying to inform. However, a manga with scenes of an elementary schoolgirl spreading her vagooo is clearly trying to appeal to lolicons. The presentation is what matters.

Also, the point of art is to convey a message, and art about something sexual is obviously meant to convey that someone, either the artist or a potential viewer, finds it arousing. If an artist draws a picture of something they think is hot, it's porn. The only grey area is if an artist draws a picture of something they don't think is hot, but they know someone else does. In that case, you'd have to ask the creator if he's doing it to make porn for them, or if he wants to convey a message, like "you're disgusting if you fap to this".

Aww... I was totally hoping to visit there someday... I was my dream and everything! (T-T) I can't believe it's a fake... They build a full-scale Gundam but no giant loli? Oh well, Akihabara will have to do as a backup dream! As long as this law doesn't get passed that is.

Oh... I wasn't aware. Hahaha! I just wanted to go to the giant loli. If they were the same place all along then I guess my dream was Always to go to Akihabara! Wohoo! Thank you for being so knowledgeable! My initial dream is back on!!!

By the way, I have no idea how I did it but apparently I managed to quote you before you even posted. I'm more amazing than I thought!
