So, they intended to curry peoples opinion? Wait what?Are they trying to merge this one with the law against child porn or something? It almost sounds like they are trying to get in a child porn ban, which as far as I know they already got, and then attempt to include the lolicon/Shotacon in there since a ban against CP would be easier to get trough. But when they already have one I don't see how it would aid them in anyway, more than people being foolish... which I guess they can.
The revised bill removes the term "nonexistent youth," and the Yomiuri Shimbun paper reports that the revisions avoid specific references to "characters younger than 18" to describe which materials would be restricted.
Avoid references to "characters younger than 18"? What exactly are they trying to ban then... flat chested girls?

If that really is what they're trying I would guess it would go worse than the last one. I mean wanting to ban lolis and shotas seems more reasonable than to wanting to ban flat chested girls and whatever the boy equivalent would be. At least when it goes to fishing votes for it, I'm guessing less people would say yes to the later.
