Sankaku Complex has reached its latest milestone of 10 million page views, not so very long after we surpassed 5 million, and of course the site itself only started in April.
I should take this opportunity to express gratitude to all those who have contributed to this success, whether readers, commenters, contributors, or those kind enough to link here.
Sankaku Complex has now received over 5,000,000 page views since its inception in late April, gaining the last million in short order indeed.
Sankaku Complex has reached (actually yesterday) the grand total of four million page views, so some brief words and and an expression of gratitude are in order; as ever, all those kind enough to use the site, post comments or images, link here, or bring the site to the attention of those who it might interest, deserve thanks.
From 2 million to 3 million in twenty or so days, a truly gratifying result and one which looks set to continue being bettered. Thanks are, as ever, due to all those contributing to this success (that would be you).

Hopefully, you missed the recent downtime, for which I apologise unreservedly, though at least I have the perverse pleasure of informing you that the cause was none other than Beako herself. Perhaps hard to believe, but in all seriousness she was the root of the problem, the details of which I shall spare you… It seems almost poetically appropriate.
Perhaps Sankaku Complex now harbours sufficiently large a nest of lolicon to attract her wrath? Still, having been punished with such harsh chastisement I am eager to use her charming image all the more.
It seems like only a month ago (in fact it was exactly 31 days ago) that we had the great satisfaction of learning that Sankaku Complex had reached a million page views, so you will have to forgive me if I do not have as much to report now as I did then.
Sankaku Complex has attained the next somewhat arbitrary milestone of a million hits; it seems not so long ago that we were celebrating our one hundred thousandth page view (in fact it wasn’t), and traffic continues to grow steadily in line with expectations.
The site itself is becoming larger, more sophisticated, and more usable, something which recently got a dramatic increase with the addition of the Danbooru based Sankaku Channel, sure to correct many of the deficiencies with the visual side of things, and to strengthen the community aspect of the site.
Naturally, I should at this juncture proffer my thanks to you, the users, and to the innumerable sites kind enough to link here; this I shall do in more detail below. With it being something of a major milestone, allow me to go into more detail in a number of areas, and provide some site statistics which may be of interest.

As we discussed, we now have a Danbooru based site, Sankaku Channel, upon which to collect and share images of all kinds; I would also like to inform you that a migration of just about all the galleries hitherto published on Sankaku Complex to the new site has been completed, totalling several thousand images.
It is my pleasure to announce that the new Sankaku Channel is now live.
Since I was dissatisfied with the possibilities offered by the original image board, I resolved to re-implement it, which I have done, using the immensely powerful Danbooru social image management system; this platform offers a multitude of interesting possibilities, though at the cost of being nightmarishly difficult to host and install, though that need not concern us anymore.
You may have noticed the addition of an interface with the image feeds coming off that very site on the left sidebar (or at least I hope you did); you can flip through the latest posts from there, and of course easily access the site. More integration will follow later. Rather than mass-populate the site I opted to start afresh, so it is still rather bare, though I am sure we can rectify this easily enough.

As you may have noticed, there have been some disruptions to Sankaku Complex’s hosting, basically a consequence of healthy traffic growth: in this respect I suppose it could it could be taken as an indicator of success, but I must still offer my apologies to those inconvenienced; your forebearance and understanding in this matter are greatly appreciated.
The change in platform (it is a mystery to me how Apache became market leader considering its abysmal performance in certain situations, and I also find it strange that opcode caching isn’t a standard feature of PHP) should be able to accommodate future growth without difficulty, and will enable continued improvements, so hopefully no further problems will be evident. If you do happen to have any problems or suggestions, please do not hesitate to make them known.

Having long been an admirer of chan style image boards, I have proceeded with the addition of Sankaku Channel (or SanChan, as I may yet resort to calling it), which should hopefully add to the utility of the site, particularly once I have had the chance to implement some interesting features. For the time being, I expect to have to prime the pump and post plenty of images, though I eagerly anticpate the contributions of users.
Sankaku Complex once again reaches a traditional landmark in a site’s history; 100,000 hits, according to Google Analytics (actual figure is higher, but this is all arbitrary anyway).
That's great! Sankuku Complex is an interesting site about Japanese culture revolving around it's visual anime art. It also has unrestricted expression of thoughts since none of the media is unrestricted on the site whatsoever.... More
