CDP Proposes to Ban Real Sex From AV “Because You Don’t Actually Kill in TV Murders”

Bipartisan talks about a proposed “Adult Video (AV) Appearance Damage Prevention and Relief Bill” recently picked up, intending to ban actual sex in the production of adult videos in Japan.

The proposed bill by Kaname Tsutsumi, a 61-year-old female member of the Constitutional Democratic Party, doesn’t require sexual intercourse at the time of shooting as a condition for invalidating the agreement, which would essentially eliminate any sexual acts from the making of an adult video. However, parties have expressed concerns that the proposal will “invite the legalization of sex trafficking.”

When Tsutsumi inquired about the possibility for a political party to separately consider a law to ban sexual activities in adult videos, proponent Hiroyuki Moriyama stated that discussions and considerations of sexual activities in adult videos could be had after the law is established.

Tsutsumi made absurd comparisons to murder in fiction:

“You don’t actually kill someone in a TV or movie murder scene. Allowing the recording of sexual acts and the sale of such videos means allowing the sexual exploitation that damages an individual’s dignity. I call for a meeting to further consider countermeasures on the matter.”

Despite the Constitutional Democratic Party’s terrible track record in punishing sex crimes, the party is adamant about banning harmless adult videos, something that Internet denizens didn’t find favorable:

“So they eat food in meal scenes, walk during walking scenes. Are they simply against regular human activities?”

“There sure are many ‘sex experts’ out there.”

“Am I the only one that thinks that the ban of AV would only lead to fewer ways to eliminate sexual desire and increase sex crimes?”

“The feminists are only talking about men, but I’m sure there will also be an increase in female sex offenders too.”

“I expect an increase in underground AV. Kind of like America’s Prohibition Era.”

“It’s fine. Japan has something known as ‘2D’ that happens to be at the top of the world.”

“I spoke to my wife about the AV ban. A daughter-in-law burst into tears. I’m sorry, you can’t watch AV anymore. I’m about to tell my children that AV will be gone and that from now on they can only watch Pornhub. Some people live on FANZA, you know. I will never forgive the Constitutional Democractic Party.”

“The world is talking about how to protect themselves from the threat of Russia, meanwhile the Constitutional Democractic Party says ‘AV ban!! AV ban!!'”

“AV, banned! Sex work, banned! No erotic manga! No sex! No childbirth! No population growth! No defense! What exactly are you trying to constitutionalize? Are you trying to keep the erotic only for the privileged class now?”

“If the AV prohibition law is established, it would only increase the circulation of illegal AV. Haven’t you ever heard of the American Prohibition Law?”

“Cannabis crime and now an AV prohibition law. Japan is finally starting to feel like a dystopia.”

“What will I do if AV gets banned? Do any of you want to get married?”

“Banning AV sounds fun. How about we ban sex and humans altogether, I’m begging you.”

“AV ban? Why not start by punishing sex offenders?”

“If you’re going to compare sexual activity with murder to ban AV, why don’t you put some effort into punishing sexual perpetrators?”
