Tales of Arise has rather quickly achieved one million worldwide shipments and digital sales in about a week since launch, making it the fastest-selling game in the franchise and proving the Tales series is still admired after 25 years of existence.
Alongside this news came the announcement that the total shipments for the Tales of series overall also surpassed 25 million, a grand feat that will have fans wishing the franchise continues to succeed.
A celebratory thank-you video courtesy of the Tales YouTube channel:
Tales of Arise made its way onto the Xbox Series, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC back on September 10th.
I’ve yet to play it but knowing BN track record they’ll water down the s♥♥t out of the franchise to please the mainstream audience now that it reached such a height.
That’s all Arise is already. The series is as good as dead as it’s now being made for the western consoomers. Also they only mention digital sales as physical are only “shipped” not sold. Funny enough using the exact same tactic that Guilty Gear Strive pulled, where the real sales where never stated. Not to mention this only apples to the west as we have yet to get the japanese sales numbers.
the game was also discounted from $60 to $50 after one week. that should tell you they needed the sale number to be higher.
another way is to check amazon best seller for video games and it’s #69.
You can go back to wishing you’d get low budget PS3 production quality Tales games that got localized a year late while the rest of us enjoy the best Tales game they’ve put out yet. If Arise is what “watered down” looks like then I don’t want the watered up Tales ever again.
Okay, guess I will. Best to speak with your wallet after all.
Of course. I waslistening to the radio at work a few days ago and i cant remember there ever being a time where a game go so pushed like this one………………pushed by three voices and none of those were male voices.
Wait a radio ad about a tales game? I call bullshit. And what’s wrong with a female voice doing the ad? Female characters are the entire reason you play anime games. You’re pathetic.
…wait… really?
Yep, which surprised the hell out of me hearing some female hosts (or even anybody on the radio for that matter) talking about Tales of Arise all over the place (or any game). I thought i was in the Twillight Zone or something, never witnessed something like that before (granted, i rarely listen to radio tho).
well am not surprised to be honest people have been waiting for a new tales of game (thats not a mobile ) for years now so yeah not to mention the release on pretty much everything also helps
as for the game itself the new engin and such is nice and even the combat system is pretty good but its just still imo just dont feel mush like a tales of game but yeah
we’ll just see where things goes from here cause after this game another tales of mobile game is to come out next year but i wonder what the next non-mobile tales of game will be like
this is not a “tales of” no matter how fast it sells.
This is one of the best games in the entire “Tales of” franchise.
this
Of course it gonna sells a million. It was release on PS4, PS5, Steam, Xbox. If it were to release on only one console like the previous tales, it probably gonna take many years to reach that number.
So it essentially got released to 2 consoles. Since the PS5 doesn’t really exist and no one has it and PC/Xbox are transferable between each other.
Also, the biggest market in Japan, the Switch, got skipped. Probably because it doesn’t have the hardware to handle the game. The PS4 can barely handle it.
PS5 is sitting on the shelves here. bestbuy has on average 100 available and walmart has 40. move to a less shitty city or country
100 PS5s just sitting in your local Walmart? Fucking liar.
It would have sold at least 1 million more if on Switch
switch couldn’t handle it
I can. Just need some downgrade
