Anime News Network Offended by Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon S

Anime News Network, a site whose reviews often seem to go out of their way to look for “offensive” things, has set its sights on another series currently airing this season, the cheery and occasionally raunchy Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon S being the anime in question.

The writer of the review laments having to witness the show’s fanservice of “underage characters” despite them believing the series has good elements to it, they also criticized the closeups on Kanna’s thighs and Lucoa’s “directing of unwanted sexual attention” towards Shota in the first season of the anime.

The large-breasted Iruru was, of course, also a talking point as the writer called her a “point of contention in the show’s announcement”, additionally generalizing by saying the “mainstream audience, or anyone otherwise not interested in fanservice that involves creeping on kid characters” find it “frustrating to watch the show”, even though it is clearly mentioned Iruru is the same age as Tohru and the service of her so far (and Kanna) is rather tame in comparison to other shows.

The writer was also unable to fathom the concept of a joke as the futanari segment also proved unsettling for them, hardly a surprise for those experienced with the site at this point.

The entire review for those believing they have the iron will needed to withstand it:

ANN’s tweet linking to the review was filled with several comments lambasting them (as per usual):
