A tweet depicting a quote from a YouTube video that consisted of a visit to animation studio J.C. Staff has attained an immeasurable amount of attention online as it had an animation producer from the studio saying they don’t “generally make changes for the sake of overseas fans”, surely a relieving sentiment for fans considering the West’s abundance of censorship and nonsensical desire to insert politics into everything.
The image from the popular tweet that gained 10,000+ retweets and 48,000+ likes:
The part from the original video where animation producer Atsushi Fujishiro makes this comment:
There have been many instances in the West where developers and creators changed or censored their works after the vocal minority expressed outrage by claiming something harmless as offensive, so this comment from Fujishiro will surely be positively received by true anime fans as it seems Japanese anime hasn’t (yet) been (majorly) compromised.
A myriad of comments responding to the viral tweet:
If only videogame companies thought like this but they would rather be sewer s♥♥t.
If video game companies had that mentality, there wouldn’t be an increasing interest in homesteading, gardening, and skill building.
There was more interest in those things when society didn’t put undesirables on a pedestal and crammed kikery (or Communism) down the throats of children.
It is so barbaric and bloody to use political considerations to allow the epidemic to run rampant in U rival states,,,(:
well, if you see how the new battlefield is now, i think some companies regretted trying to bow to sjw in general. The new bf have no woman in the cover, no prosthetic arms , the game have old stages, old fashion bf fun… i think we may have some hope that the game companies are going to back down from all the stupid stuff we saw the last 4 years
Because most console videogame even jrpgs have most sales from west, so they ruined it.
Meanwhile anime: have most of they money from Japan/Asia.
So manga>anime>games.
People like Japanese art because it’s Japanese, not because it’s Californian. The sooner Japan learns this, the better.
And proofs?
Its what happens when you let the Videogame industry be dominated by a select few Monopolies. Its the same deal with the American Comics industry.
At least with Anime, every anime has a chance to shine. If the roles were reversed, Most Anime studios would be bought out by two or three different big monopolies and will be influenced depending on the monopoly’s political agenda.
Because of this, sex with children feels good and will continue.
At least put in an attempt to be funny if you’re going to keep doing this.
f♥♥k off with the fake bait somewhere else tranny
that is disappearing, especially because they have less and less audience.
Fortunately, fewer lollicons around
gr8 b8 m8 i r8 it 8/8
Sex with children is still as fantastic as ever.
That has f♥♥k ALL to do with the article, man!
Good, if only many others ignore the retarded wailings of the left and just stick with their artistic vision.
doing anime marketing copy paste to satisfy otaku, is quite the opposite of artistic vision
Better remember modern western video games with their copypaste “woke” s♥♥t for the sake of satisfying SJWs degenerates like you.
And by the way, this site is for otaku. What are you doing here, soyboy?
Well, I may have overstated the artistic vision part a little bit. But I just want these things to be rid of any overt political agendas and changes that are just for satisfying some checkboxes that weren’t the creators’ ideas in the first place.
Most things are made with a political statement in mind, even Japanese media. I know that might be hard to wrap your head around, but politics are generally a companion to art and have been since as far back as the pre-medieval era. People on this site tend to use the word “politics” to substitute the phrase “things I don’t like”, and not only is that being intellectually dishonest, it makes them look stupid too. Just saying, more people should think critically, instead of blindly following what a reactionary “writer” on this site is saying to drum up ad revenue.
Your pathetic maneuvers and open lies are ridiculous.
>Most things are made with a political statement in mind
No.
Not under normal capitalism.
This is the norm under socialist governments like the USSR, North Korea or China, where the entire media content is filled with political and ideological propaganda. Where there is ideological and political censorship.
In Japan, this did not exist before the arrival and occupation of the anime and video game industry by western corporations with their “woke agenda” and the chinese Tensent with its “standards”.
>People on this site tend to use the word “politics” to substitute the phrase “things I don’t like”
You’re wrong, “centrist”.
Because when censorship is conditioned by politics, it is politics.
When the” representation “of the mythical LGBT “genders” is conditioned by politics, this is politics.
When all the female characters are ugly and disgusting for the sake of feminism, this is politics.
When they ban the creators of eroge for “young-looking characters” because your left-wing fellow degenerates equated cartoons to child pornography, this is politics.
I would joke that your level of intelligence is not enough to realize this, bot, but I think that in fact you understand everything.
No one buys your horse s♥♥t anymore. It isn’t 2013 anymore.
Hello 2014 talking points, nice straw man you got there.
Sure would be a shame if there were 7 years of cringe to prove you’re just Trojan-horsing right now.
@Z01DX
Dafaq are you even talking about, retard? There is no goverment that feeds its brainwashed plebs more propaganda than muricunt one. North korea my ass. You, dickheads, dont even know where countries your filthy subcountry is making war with are located. But you’re all sure that they should be ‘dealt with’. THIS is propaganda, garbage.
No one else taking issue with the word “generally”?
He is referring to the fact that they(along with most anime studios) do make changes due to TV ratings/watchdog groups not that they make said changes for the west.
Dude that’s only in the subtitles. He didn’t said it that way in Japanese. Official subs confirmed s♥♥t again.
In Japanese he said 余りに (if I heard right) which actually translates to “too much; excessively;”.
So they don’t change too much. Very reassuring.
Exactly, it’s corporation-speak.
Most twitterfags are too intellectual to understand that basic word
Just you. ; )
> but we’ll listen to the feminists …
That only happened in your brain.
It’s the femicunts that are always attacking anime, as we see on twiter
Nine times out of ten.
not just generaly,
but also for sake of oversea fans
so they may still make changes if someone bitchslap em with money
I’m only reading “generally” as in “if it actually makes fucking sense to complain about it”
Oink more.
What?
Cry more.
Show don’t tell.
indeed, also he said “generally” which translates to “they do it sometimes”.
Most of the time.
Bruh, they’ve been showing all the time because the West keeps censoring their s♥♥t. They keep trying until you hear that they’re just stepping down instead of being brainwashed like that FF Director who chose money instead.
Japanese Anime had to be toned down slowly throughout the years since it reached outside Japan & if you ever go to Japan its where Anime can show its true colors.
>Japanese Anime had to be toned down slowly throughout the years since it reached outside Japan
Wrong it was due to increasing restrictions/pressure from TV studios along with other watchdog groups.
That’s half true. The true tone down of anime started 2010 with Ishihara Shintaro, governor of Tokyo. He had policy of moderation and wrote a new youth ordinance bill which fucked over the anime and manga committee. Also the watchdog groups in Japan were toothless for the most part and didn’t have government funding. That also changed because in the bill it introduced double the amount watchdog groups, gave them government funding and more powers including media watchdog groups. By the way the watchdog groups wasn’t his idea, did you know that during that time the US ambassador (put in place by obama) had Ishihara’s ear. The ambassador I think was against whale hunting and didn’t really offer a proper solution at a conference just blurted there needed to be more overseer groups. Ishihara pushed for his polices heavily in parliment most were fully active in Tokyo but the two that reached parliment level were the Youth Ordinance Bill revisions and adding of country wide additional watch dog groups. But Ishihara was a hypocrite. He was found to be at the same time he was still pushing for publicity of bondage r♥♥e novels about minors he wrote 20 years earlier. Ishihara hated the aspect of a free internet. He thought it destroyed the youth. He hated policy to make Japan a more nationalistic and independent country. He also hated the anime/manga industry. Ishihara was also at one point under investigation for accepting illicit funding from China and Korea. The investigation never panned out to finding proof of dirty money circulation but did show he had “relations” with visa workers who happened to be from both countries. He also advocated for globalism and set the ground work that lead to policies that eventually lead to easing up on restrictions preventing foreign companies being able to take part on committee boards. This included both business and watchdog groups. The man was corrupt in his twilight years. While Ishihara Shintaro may not have been the end result or direct cause, he opened a can of worms and gave foreign influence a weakness to grasp a hold of via economics. Ishihara also butted heads with Abe’s early reformations. Ishihara was part of the political party that caused a lot of bad s♥♥t to happen and the push for complete globalism. Why do you think increasing restrictions/pressure from TV studios happened? Ishihara’s policies scared the hell out of people. One CEO of a seining/mature magazine got arrested for obscenity due to the Youth Ordnance bill when the prior year things were fine. No one wants to go to jail. Did you also know that a lot of the polices were introduced 2010 but didn’t go into full effect until 2011 or 2013. Japan also was resisting the smartphone market. Hell you couldn’t even buy smartphones in a normal store. Flip phones were still a thing. But suddenly Apple iPhones got a foothold in a market in Tokyo where the Japanese cellular companies were actively blocking the spread of smartphones. Do you know when the boom happened? 2014. One year after the last of Ishihara’s 2010 polices went into full effect. Hmmm… makes you wonder.
Good, as it should be
all should follow this and ignore the idiots that complain about everything
and make what they wanna make
